i think the ppl that work here just hate me. i've given them more chances than an ex boyfriend. i leave everytime looking like coconut head. for whatever reason they start cutting from the back and by the time they get to the front and i see how short jt is its too late. i paid for the most expensive stylist and told her in advance that i have very thick hair. a cute 18 year old girl entered that salon, a sickly victorian boy left.

Amazingly skilled, highly professional and a fun place to visit! I like scheduling convenience so I have two stylists that know my hair preferences. Both stylists communicate with each other and support my needs- it doesn't get better than this! I am taken within 5 minutes of my scheduled time, always offered refreshments (tea, coffee or water).

I waited a long time for my appointment at The Lift. I thought it would be a good place for blonde highlights as they were so many pictures of blonde hair on their insta page. I had come prepared, with pictures to show my preferred hair color, which is tawny golden blonde. . The stylus convinced me that I needed some low lights to break up my blonde. She put so many low lights in that my hair turned dark brown. She then asked if I wanted to cover some small gray in the front. I said yes. She used an ash blonde color to cover the gray, nothing like the shade I had shown her, and my hair turned dark brown with ash gray white at the front, making it look like I had more grey hair not less.. This was not my usual look at all. And I was horrified. There was also no blonde of any kind through the length of my hair, and no continuity of color, looking blonde on the top and dark at the bottom. ( didn't ask for ombré) when you have been dyeing, your hair for 30 years, you know what you want. I called the salon to see when I could come back to fix my hair. The receptionist was most unhelpful, and told me "we don't really have appointment time for return clients. Everyone is happy who leaves here." I had to call three times, and then I had to speak with the manager to organize a return visit. when I arrived, I was intimidated by the original Colorist and the manager, who told me."I think your hair looks great." and looked at each other like I was a troublemaker. The colorist, then put clarifying shampoo on my head twice, and added an orangey toner. My hair changed from Ash to orange, and the low lights underneath stayed dark brown. I was so upset. I cried all the way home. Not only did my hair look terrible, I had been pressured into this "dont care much about you cheap fix". I should've just gotten a refund and gone somewhere else. I will never recommend The Lift to any one.

I went to Lift for the first time today and received a great haircut! The atmosphere is really nice, super friendly staff and I love all the plants around the place. Old school Brittney on the radio was a plus! Savannah my stylist was very cool and good to talk to as well as skilled and gentle with my locks. In this economy the price was quite reasonable too and I like how all the service prices are posted by stylist on their website. You can book an appt and pay ahead online which is super convenient for me. I will be going back for sure! A+

Morgan is amazing! The whole shop is exquisite, they make you feel welcomed, heard and the artistry of ALL the stylists is superb! Can't say enough about the owner Crystál ( i hope i spelled that right) and supporting women owned businesses and artistry is exactly what you are doing when you step in the door!
