2-3 apts scheduled with Maddison not kept. 1 apt for a Friday she text me the night before saying forgot she was babysitting her brother all week she recommended another stylist and that was not a good experience. Another apt set with Maddison on a Friday at 11. I go to my apt and only 1 stylist there. We wait and Maddison is a no show. The stylist text her and she told her she didn't have me down. Funny I personally spoke with her the week before. No apology, no text, no call... nothing! Don't count on apts being honored. I do not recommend!

I would not recommend. I went in for a hair cut and partial foil. I wanted my long hair cut straight across in the back, some layers, thinned at the bottom, textured at the crown and the tone of my color at the time changed. None of this happened. 1. Issues with stylist. I was unhappy with my cut and the salon or stylist has yet to resolve. a. Got my hair done April 24th. Stylist took 40 mins to finish the girl in her chair. My appointment was for 3, she started me at 3:40. I just had a baby and have 5 kids so time is limited. b. I let the girl know I was unhappy with my last cut because it was longer on 1 side. She did the same thing but worse. My frame pieces are about 1 1/2 INCH longer on the right. Like left side starts at chin and right starts at collar bone. Looks like shit up. I tried to fix but the right is still longer because it needs razored. c. I hated the tone of my hair went I went in and I was adamant about my disgust for the color. My roots are dark ash and the color on my hair was brassy. She did not have a jade toner to fix it but didn't tell me that until after she put highlights in. So my brown is the same color. I would have paid for 2 colors but didn't know that was an option until she hurried me out the door because she wanted to go home. d. Stylist charged me 5$ more for every service. Cool for a master stylist lol. e. Didn't put in conditioner or flat iron my hair. She wanted to curl it to hide the mistake. She did put olaplex oil in but not the same. f. There is a huge blob of bleach in the front framing pieces. g. She said it was too tricky to cut long hair one length in the back and cut it in a V shape. No texture and didn't thin the ends. My hair is thick and heavy. 2. They are independent contractors not employees. Salons hold employees more accountable than contractors. a. I was unhappy and didn't want the same girl. Since they are contractors you have to go back to the same person. So they don't care if you are unhappy. Salons with Employees would have a manager or owner fix your hair. b. I left a message the next day for the owner or a manager to call back and 3 1/2 weeks later nothing. c. Even if I scheduled with the girl who screwed up my hair she doesn't have an appointment until may 27th a the month after my date. I was told I would have to wait a month to get my hair fixed. At that point it would be a whole nother haircut. I don't like to pay good money for crap hair or to go back or get shot down to go back to get it fixed. NTM I don't get much time off the kids so I wasted it here. I'm going to try 2nd ave Salon in Yakima and pay $70 for a better haircut.

Just went here for the first time and a when you walk in you get a very homey feeling and a nice vibe to the environment. Casey did my hair and she was fantastic, I gave her a reference and she did a phenomenal job replicating it, I will definitely be coming back for any touch up or hair cuts.

I just love Megan! She is reasonably priced and so down to earth. I always leave feeling so beautiful and happy about my hair. Have referred her to numerous other people, who would also agree with me that Megan @ Salon 17 is awesome!

Megan cut my hair. I scheduled an appointment, showed up 2 minutes early and was the only customer there. Megan told me to have a seat. I sat and waited 20 minutes while she chatted with other coworkers and friends behind the desk. When she got around to cutting my hair she did a nice job but yanked and pulled out my hair beforehand. I told her that hurts and she responded that I must have a sensitive scalp, which I don't, and she just continued to brush not adding water or anything to help make it hurt less. When it came time to pay she said it would cost $5 more because I have long hair. I felt this extra charge should have been communicated prior to the cut so it soured things a bit more. I loved my haircut but everything else wrecked the experience for me and I won't be coming back.
