I love having Ariel cut & style my hair!

Always obsessed with the work done by Jeni at Rustic Roots. Full foil, cut and eyebrow wax  Hands down the only salon I've been able to walk in for a service and not have to specially request someone because I always leave beyond satisfied!

Ariel did my hair back at the end of October. She kept saying how this was her first time doing my hair and it might not be right because were getting to know each other. That should have been my first red flag. I asked for my hair to be blonder and a more white blonde. I was trying to be realistic and not show Pinterest photos and she insisted we look at Pinterest photos. So I showed her a white maybe even slightly grey blonde. I also showed her some cuts I liked even though I basically wanted a trim to my bob I already had. I specifically said I didn't want the front dramatically longer and I wanted it to flow/graduate nicely. Well this is not what I left with. Instead I left with my hair darker, she must have painted 2 colors down my hair and one being a darker blonde and the other a more yellow blonde, not the white I asked for. She proceeded to tell me she left toner in my hair so when I get home and wash it it will lighten up. I have never left a salon being told that my hair color basically isn't done processing. She also did not cut my hair evenly, left it chunky, even after specifically saying it needed thinned. I told her that in the chair and she took the thinning shears to the sides at the bottom and cut chunks out of the bottom of my hair so it's uneven. She also left to chunks in the front that are much longer than the back. My hair literally is longer in the back goes shorter on the side and then drops down to two way longer chunks! So went home washed my hair and of course it didn't lighten up. I use toning shampoo every time I was my hair and it still hasn't lightened up. She also bleached the back of my shirt and ruined it. I expressed my concerns via fb message to her and she said she was sorry and offered to fix the cut when it was convenient for her and said I can't color my hair for 4-6 weeks! She also said she didn't ruin my shirt on purpose. I asked for a refund of some sort and she wouldn't answer that. I told her I didn't have time to drive an hour for her to fix it when it's convenient for her and time to sit there and do it all over. She said it would only take her a few minutes to fix. A few minutes? That's scary! It took 2+ hours to mess it up. I disputed it my my credit card and she denied the dispute of course. So now unless the salon owner wants to make her make this right I'm stuck with the crap cut and color and she doesn't have to make it right and give a refund to go toward someone else fixing it! I have had to pull my hair back in a ponytail for a month because my hair looks stupid down!

I love Rustic Roots Salon! The owner Jeni runs a great business and is always on time. She genuinely cares for her customers and does a great job with haircuts, coloring etc. She also has a nail stylist.
