Rudy's Barbershop - Cuts & color in Portland, OR

It's been a month and I'm still seething from my experience at Bishops. I took my young daughter in for the first haircut post vaccines. It's been a long time of my inexperienced self cutting her hair and I was really looking forward to this new cut she asked for. Anyway, made an appointment and got in just fine.....and my daughter's haircut is terrible. Now I know that Bishops is called Supercuts with tattoos but I suppose I was expecting more, especially for the cost. Her cut, which was not technical, was uneven and choppy all over with no blending. Everything was disconnected and it looked like i cut it blindfolded in the dark drunk and on acid. I called and scheduled a recut and low and behold......it has to be with the same stylist. What in the world? So i bring her back in and the lady chops on it some more and it still looks horrible.  Let's just say we are using a bunch of headbands and barrettes to try to make it look presentable until it grows out some and we can try again, just not at Bishops. My mom, her grandma, cried when she saw her hair. It's just hair, and it will grow out, but jfc. To spend that much on such a horrible cut is unjustifiable.

I should say that i have received great cuts here but the stylists seem to leave quickly. I've heard great things about Ashley! I loved Bird! It's just hard to know who to schedule with to get a decent cut. I would expect that for the price all the stylists would have the technical capability and knowledge to give excellent cuts. Whatever.

The quality of the haircut just doesn't reflect the price.

It was my first time going into a Bishops as I'm new to Oregon. The entire experience was pleasant, but much like the cheap mints certain restaurants give you at the end of your meal it leaves something to be desired.

If you have short hair and want anything to do with a fade I'd recommend going to great clips or Supercuts or anything similar because that's the quality of haircut your going to receive. My sideburns and a couple other parts of my hair were just unsymmetrical. The haircut itself felt rushed and either half assed, or just inexperienced when it came to cutting short hair.

The extra star is because I felt my Barber, kinda might of cared and was nice enough.

Honestly the last time I'm going to a non POC Barber.

Third appointment with Carrie. She seriously does magic on my coarse, straight gray hair. We are a perfect match

Had a great experience at Bishop's today.  I was able to make an appointment online, and it started right on time.  Carrie was very focused and helped tremendously with my recovery from a disastrous cut at another salon--not Bishop's.  I'm so pleased--will definitely be back!

I have been coming here for over a year now, and I love it. They are clean, friendly, and covid safe! Ashley cuts my hair just the way I like it and I love our chats.
