Ruby's Nails is the best nail salon in the Palisades. Today was my first time there for a mani/pedi and Nina was a miracle worker with my calloused feet and damaged finger nails. Nina had me laughing and gave me advice on nails, and I'm not going anywhere else from now on. What took me so long!!!!!!!
I love this salon: clean, cheerful, and meticulous work! I get gel nails and pedi with callous remover and once in a while treat myself to expert shoulder massage. I usually have a book or headphones, but never use them, because it's so relaxing just to sit for awhile. I'd tell you my faves, but then they'd be booked. That said, I was surprised that they are open on Sunday and have plenty of extra chairs for walk-ins. Definitely recommend!
Love ruby's - though they can be an bit pushy with the add ons . Nevertheless the service is great and everyone is very kind.
I struggled to give it one * but if you are a person who likes being barraged with constant up selling at a time you should be relaxing, this is the place for you. I ended up being charged $123.00 for a manicure (gel) and pedicure ( basic) until she charged me $10.00 for using the pumice square which was barely necessary. I brought my own Sally Hansen Gel polish which by the way is an amazing product. Three times she told me they had gel in the same color as the product I wanted to use. THREE !!! She asked me if I wanted extra foot massage, I said okay, 10 minutes. When I was questioning about the inflated bill I asked about that. She had the audacity to say I said 10 minutes each foot, so 30 minutes ! I told her that was crazy, no one says that and she knows that I didn't say that. There are a couple of other things but I need to get ready for dinner. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE.
Visiting the area and stopped by Ruby's for a gel mani and pedi for two. Absolutely wonderful staff, clean, polite and meticulous work. Bea was very friendly and did a beautiful job on my manicure. If we visit the area again, we will be back!
