Royal Nails & Spa in Charleston, SC

Got my nails done today for the first time in years!  I chose this location based off of reviews and proximity to my office.  Went right around 11 and was taken right away.   I was very impressed with both the quality and the speed today.  I got a gel manicure and was in and out in about 30 minutes. The tech was super nice and there was no forced awkward small talk which I greatly appreciated.  I certainly plan on coming back to this location and will update this review with hopefully 5 stars if they can duplicate this visit.

This is a great place if you want your appointments cancelled and rescheduled without your knowledge. Just to be clear, this the West Ashley location near Panera's and Game Stop.They will blame it on the computer or say they don't know what happened. I missed 1 appointment in a year and half with Quynh. Feeling sorry that I missed the appointment, I purchased a card and even gave her the money that I would've spent for the missed appointment. Quynh stated she could not take that money but would apply as a credit towards my next appointment.
After that, my next appointment was scheduled for three weeks out and they canceled and rescheduled it at a time that fit them or either they slid a new customer in that spot. When I got to the salon, they said I never had an appointment when clearly the phone reminder I showed stated otherwise.
As Quynh started doing my nails, she said, "now we're even."! I asked her what she said, and she repeated it. It was at that point,  I knew I needed to find another nail tech. The service you get on your nails is great but the customer service is very poor. I should've never had my nail tech tell me "we're even" after only missing 1 appointment.
Now, I have a new technician (found immediately after this incident), they called today 10/21/23 to tell me since I am late and have not come to appointments (missed 1) they could not schedule any more appointments (lol).  Laughing, I told them I have a nail technician so I am good; just got my deluxe paraffin mani and pedi done today. I briefly explained I did  not like what Quynh said and  hung up.
Good luck to you if you go there! Don't be human and miss 1 appointment! It's like tit for tat..who's keeping score! Smh! If this is for you, go for it!

I have been a client for several years and have always had great service, welcoming smiles and beautiful results for manicures, pedicures and facial waxing.

Not friendly to the handicap community.   When the staff saw my wheelchair, I felt as if I was not welcome.   I had an appointment for today with my girlfriend.  It took over 10 minutes from the time I opened the door, until I was able to be next to her chair 1/2 way down the row of manicure stations.  

It was as if I was an inconvenience for the staff.    This was my third appointment there and I'm never going back.  

This was the first time EVER since I was confined to a wheelchair that I felt so disrespected.  I guess I just don't understand Asian culture.

A friend referred me Q, and I'm so glad she did. Very friendly staff, and it's the best DIP French manicure I've had in a long time! Got a great pedicure as well, in and out in a decent amount of time for both services. Will definitely be a regular customer here.
