I moved to the area over two years ago. I finally found the perfect curl specialist for my curly locks. Traci at Robert James Salon in Saratoga Springs, NY knows what she is doing. But, what makes her special is that she takes the time to understand your hair condition, daily hair care routine, offers suggestions and product recommendations and is such a pleasure to talk to. The vibe in the salon is nice and bonus - there is a restaurant/bar next door so you can sip at the salon with your favorite beverage! The other stylists seemed knowledgeable and friendly, as well! I can't wait for my daughter to try a new stylist and I can't wait to go back to see Traci in 7 weeks!

My son is 14 and about to go into high school. Since Covid, his hair has been... bad. A mess. Long and floppy and unkempt-- think, Beatles with bed head. And he's very shy-- he hates when there's any attention in him at all, for any reason. When he said he wanted a new look for school, I was both thrilled for him and nervous-- he's very sensitive and I knew that a big change was going to be hard for him. I barely slept the night before the appointment because I was worried about how he'd react. Teenage egos are fragile, especially when starting a new school. I knew it was going to be a big change, so I wanted to bring him somewhere better than the regular local barber. I read a few reviews and decided to make an appointment at Robert James. And I am so very glad that I did. Shelly and Robert understood right away that my son was nervous, that he was shy, and that this was a big deal for him. And from the moment he sat down, they made him feel completely comfortable. They kept reassuring him that it was going to be great and that he was going to look and feel so much better. They talked to him with compassion and kindness and distracted his worries with humor and care. As I sat there and watched, I couldn't stop smiling because my son was... happy. I was expecting him to be sad or dissatisfied or regretful, but he was really, really happy. I was shocked and thrilled and grateful. They completely turned things around for him and made him feel relaxed and confident. I couldn't be more grateful to them for all of this. Seeing my son so happy when I was expecting the worst... priceless.

Terrible terrible mani and pedi for $96.00. I had to go elsewhere to fix their mess. The sad part when called the salon no one had the decency to return my call. It was a terrible experience. I told the tech I wanted gel she said she didn't have time. The colors didn't match she said maybe next time. A waste of money. I don't know how they get away charging for nothing.

Robert James gave me a fabulous haircut and made me feel beautiful again Very nice, comfortable salon with home and family vibes.
