The blo Out Lounge & Colour Bar in Hamilton Square, NJ

I wanted to get a blowout done for a wedding I was attending and wanted somewhere that wasn't too far from me. I consider myself to be a beginner when it comes to styling my own hair and cannot always rely on myself, so I wanted a professional to style it for this special occasion. I heard of the Blo Out Lounge through word of mouth and the photos on their instagram was enough to draw me into booking an appointment. I made an appointment with Tina and she did a fantastic job with my hair. She really took her time, and her expertise with blowouts made me feel confident and beautiful when she was done. She was also very friendly and we had a nice conversation while she did my hair and I highly recommend you book an appointment with her. The entire staff was very professional and friendly and since it was my first time, they took me on a tour of the salon which made me feel very welcomed. The vibe of the whole salon is very luxurious yet comfortable, and their new addition of their soon to be juice bar will really make this place even more high quality. I will definitely be going back for another blowout and will be trying more of their services in the future!

Unfortunately I hate I have to leave this review. Overall, I've had nothing but great experiences prior to this last time. I had to reschedule my appointment and called to do so. Unfortunately the stylist I see did not have an openings for a similar time until mid September, I was looking to push back the appointment to mid August. I informed the woman on the phone unfortunately that is too far out and I guess I'll just have to cancel and go elsewhere. She just agreed cheerfully and hung up. I was a bit shocked by the lack of support and customer service. I would have expected alternate proposed solutions such as seeing a different stylist or at the very least an offer to be added to the waiting list for any upcoming potential cancellations. I am not arrogant enough to request or expect them to speak to the stylist I normally see and respect that I was the one needing to reschedule, but the lack of customer service and consideration to customers retention has now given me the impression these are not important to the business. It is quite unfortunate as I have enjoyed going there and found all other services and persons lovely. Additional training on phone support and best practices would go a long way to retain future client base and protect the livelihood of your stylists.

I love the hospitality. Warm environment. I love that my stylist listened to how I wanted my cut. I didn't feel rushed. And didn't get charge for random stuff that I was not informed of. Such a gem. All these years of driving by and never tried. I am glad I decided to give it a go today.

Always great service and I really like how they listen and understand what I'm looking for and make it happen.

I have gotten blow outs as I have traveled the world, and this place is tops. The environment is divine. So elegant but comfortable. The service is incredible - hand massage, drinks and snack while you're getting your service done. Kevin Murphy products. Reasonably priced. I had Shea as my stylist and she was The Best. I will definitely be back!!
