Reverie Nail and Spa in Fort Worth, TX

Went in for a pedicure at the end of a rainy Saturday and they worked me in even though a lot of the staff had already left for the day. The chairs are very comfy with good massagers, the staff was super friendly and I got a great foot massage. It was $90 before tip for a gel pedicure (I got the fancy one because it's been a while and I'm pregnant so I wanted to spoil myself). The man at the front desk was even kind enough to make sure they left one of the bathrooms open and dried the floor off after they mopped because he anticipated the pregnant lady would need to use the bathroom at the end of the pedicure, which I thought was nice. I'd go back here!

This is so disappointing. I am on vacation and the dip keeps breaking. I was charged extra for this and not worth the quality of materials.

I like this place to get my toes done. The guy behind the front desk is very polite and always tries to accommodate. I'm giving 3 stars because like most places they try to up-sell you and then surprise you with the bill at the end. I did not know that they charge $20 just for gel polish. Their cheapest pedicure is $30 so the additional charge for gel polish is almost just as much. $10 I can understand but $20!? That's outrageous. I really didn't want to get gel and the lady was sweet but very pushy. She said she would take $7 (from what I understood) but no money was taken off. Lesson learned.

I'm going to start off by pointing out 2 things; I have anxiety, and I am anemic. I walked into the spa (which is gorgeous, by the way) a bundle of nerves, because I had never had a pedicure before. Both the staff and the customers were so extremely helpful, it wasn't long before I had no nerves at all. They also have a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from, but since I didn't have one, I can't attest to their quality. If you get a pedicure, like I did, they will seat you in a massage chair and it won't be a long wait before someone is able to help you, even if you are a walk in like I was. The appointment wasn't too long, but it also didn't feel rushed and I got plenty of time with the warm water and the massage chair. I am already planning my next visit.

The first time I came here, it was a pretty decent experience, however, this time was terrible. I just needed to take off my current dip nails and get gel with chrome. As the lady was taking off my dip nails, she wasn't patient and kept burning me with nail drill, even after I had said ouch and taken my hand away. She proceeded to burn me 7-10 more times. Then, she was being aggressive with the cuticle pusher and cutter to the point where I was bleeding and red around my finger nails. Finally, when it was time for me to leave, there were bubbles on 2 of my nails and to "fix" it she just went over it with more top coat. From the start, I just wanted to get out of there. I won't chance it again, I will just go somewhere else from here on out.
