The place and the service have really gone down hill. Cramped and cluttered chaos. Price charged does not match the service menu. I had charged $15 more than the published price for the most basic pedicure. My dip nails were a mess. Every nail on my left had was crooked. I asked 3 times for the tech to correct my nails before I gave up. The way she roughly filed my dipped nails left my nail beds sore for days. I've been going here for years but it is time to find a new place.
There's a bar here! Like a legit bar! With cocktails! It's a whole party! Made an appointment for 11AM on a Sunday bc I was told that is when they opened but when I walked in, the party was already going with multiple people already started. Got gel manicure and regular pedicure and my nails look great! 1 1/2 weeks out and still shining. Best manicure I've had in a long time. Will def be back the next time I'm in Fort Wayne.
Recently, my wife wanted to treat our two granddaughters, ages 5 & 8 as well as herself to a mani/pedi before returning to school so I tagged along. I really didn't know what to expect. The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly and spoke pretty decent english. The rest of the staff spoke little to no english so it was difficult to communicate. My biggest surprise was when a guy in his 20's dressed in jeans, t-shirt and ballcap was setting up to work on the 8 year old. I thought it was kind of odd. He didn't speak to her at all, no smile just rushed through the whole process. The two women that worked on my wife and the 5 year old took more time with them but almost no interaction. My advice is that if you're going to operate a personal service such as this, have a professional appearance and have employees that speak the language. My wife and I agreed that we will try another nail salon the next time.
Horrible! I went in for a full set of nails. The man that was assigned to me was awful! His handling of my fingers when putting the nails on was painful! He gripped my thumb so hard that it turned purple and red and I had to pull away. The right hand and left hand nails look completely different. The worst!!!!!!
Called to ask how much a gel soak off on toes cost .. was told it is $10. Came in the following day to have it removed. It was not soaked off. It was taken off with a drill. I was there for less than 10 minutes & charged $15.
I questioned the price but they didn't seem to care at all. First & last experience. I'll continue going to Glo Nail Bar from now on.
