Puppy Love Dog Salon in St Joseph, MO

We always have family members pet sit for us when we go out of town but this time we had to board them and we were so worried because one of our German Shepard's has really bad separation anxiety. They sent us videos and pictures daily and my dogs had so much fun with the staff at Puppy Love they treated them like they were family. I also like they have staff on site 24/7 we just picked our dogs up and they were clean and honestly did not act like they missed us at all and were worn out. We will be using Puppy Love again and also taking the girls for daycare. Thank you to the amazing staff at Puppy Love Oakley and Chloe had a blast.

Went to drop our boys off for a stay and the owner didn't have my dogs' info/records despite my emailing them ahead of time and making sure the boys didn't need anything else to stay there. Arrived to drop them off and they said they didn't have their records, kept shoving her phone in my face to show me she didn't have them in the inbox, rather than just searching her inboxes with their names. I spoke with Jacob on the phone to confirm they received the records (I had not received a reply after 2 days), she called Jacob and he had printed their papers, put them in their client folders and then deleted the emails. I witnessed two daycare dogs fighting and the employee out there just yelling at them and cussing about who was the alpha. I mentioned seeing this and specifying that if my boys are attacked or start a fight that I want them removed, not just yelled at; this direction was taken as isolate my dogs for their entire stay from other dogs. I took screenshots of my conversation with owner about issues I had with their stay and very much the impression the owner of the facility was not taking any responsibility for my dogs' lack of care and trying to gaslight me into thinking I said not to have my dogs interact with other dogs; my boyfriend was with me for drop off and confirmed that is not what I said. I trusted previous reviews and their awards, so I do want to put my experience out their for people to see. I hope my experience was a one off, but It was truly terrible.

I took a very dirty and grungy little dog to Puppy Love.  They never complained.   I have taken her back a few times and I still love this place.  The dog is clean and happy.  They are definitely pet friendly and will love your dog.   And of course, a clean dog gets more attention at home.  We love Puppy Love and highly recommend it.  And as a plus, they always give the dog an accessory to go with the holidays.

The groomer has always done an excellent job on my little dog, but the wait time has been increasing over the last few months. Making her stay there for 7 1/2 hours was too much. I brought her in at 8 so she could be in line and finish early. I was finally able to pick her up at 3:30. She dragged me to the grass and peed and peed and peed. Got her home and she pooped and pooped and pooped. She was exhausted the entire evening and into the next day. She was even too tired to eat her supper. No complaints about grooming but the length of time the dog has to hang out to be groomed and bathed is ridiculous.

I've been using puppy love out of convenience nothing special just habit. Every time I've taken my dogs for baths they say drop off 730-8 yet every time I'm there at 730 I have to pound on the door or go to the boarding side to get someone. Today I had an appointment to drop my dogs off at 730-8. They called me yesterday afternoon to remind me of my appointment. I got there at about 735 and it was dark and locked up which was normal. I went over to the birding side and an employee told me they weren't open. I said they just confirmed my appointment yesterday. She said well they called and said they aren't coming in and that was it.
