I used to come here for my relaxer and perms and they were usually very respectful, talkative and kind to younger kids (as I was when I went there). I've always had great results and good customer service from here
My son has his haircut by Brock. He is an excellent barber and works very well with kids. I am very very picky when it comes to my sons hair, with that said I definitely recommend Brock.
Extremely unprofessional... the daughter of the owner will tell you "your money ain't even that good","she doing you a favor so someone wouldn't be looking nappy headed" write a status about you and how you got her F'd up if you have a complaint. Instead of telling someone no she couldnt take her. The appointment was at 11am and my sisters hair did not get done till 11 pm. Sad thing about it I recommend her to my sister and because I expressed how my family felt about the situation and all of a sudden our "money isn't even that good". Regardless of how long her hair was going to take if it didn't fit into her schedule for that day then she could have told her no. She had to stop my sisters hair to go pick up her kids for almost 2 hours. With that being said I was told that my sister should have picked a different style if she was on a time constraint. Mind you the stylist knew what style my sister wanted before hand. I didn't appreciate this at all because as a professional with a client complaint there was no apology or any remorse as to what I was saying.
I'm only writing this because I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. Iv'e been getting my U-part wig installed in my hair for two years now and before that I had done weaves for around 2 years. So I am no stranger to braiding and sew-ins. When I went to Posse's I was appalled. First of all my appointment was at 1:00 pm and I showed up on time. My stylist told me she would be "right back" to go take "headache medicine" and then was gone for 15 minutes. Then she got a phone call and went outside to answer it. So she didn't even start on my hair until 1:30 pm. When I sat down in the salon chair I also noticed that the way the chair was placed I could'nt see my face or hair in the mirror, the chair was too far off to the left. I asked the stylist if she could move her chair so that I could watch and she replied with a short "no." I should have known to just leave then and there. But, sadly, I stayed. While braiding my hair she got a phone call from her "cousin" and she proceeded to loudly talk on the phone and yell about her boyfriends crazy "baby mama" and how she has a "restraining order against her baby daddy." She got a little hyped up during the conversation with her cousin, and was talking super loudly, basically yelling, while braiding my hair. The big issue was that she was braiding the side of my head, so her body and extremely loud voice was right next to my ear. It was not fun. When she was done installing my U-part wig I asked for a bang trim and pointed to where I wanted it cut. She did the most choppy cut ever and it was way shorter than I had asked for. I quickly paid and ran to my car, and when I pulled down the mirror in my car and saw my botched hair and ruined bangs (which I had been growing out for the past year) I burst into tears. When I got home I cut the U-Part out of my head and re installed it myself, and I was able to cover up my bags and do a much better job than this stylist did. I wasted 5 hours and $170, and I was very upset. I've never written a bad review before but I felt like I had to put it out there that this salon is really unprofessional and ghetto. Salons are all about making the customer feel comfortable and pampered, and I felt no where close to that. If any stylist as Posse is reading this please just take a moment to think about how you would like to be treated at a salon, and therefore treat your customers the same way.
I swore I wouldn't go to another hair place in Tucson. The last woman who did it messed my hair up and I was so dissatisfied. However, I was flying out of Tucson and needed my hair done. I knew about posse's but I just never got around to it. I finally made that appointment and I'm so glad I did. I got my hair washed, conditioned, deep conditioned, trimmed and pressed. The woman I believe her name Debra was nice and did my hair patiently (I got thick course hair) and she did what I asked. She didn't try and change it or cut more hair off. Debra did take a while to do my hair so make sure you have nothing else to do that day. If your black and looking for a hair salon definitely check posse's out.
