Poise Hair Boutique in Overland, MO

I recently moved to St. Louis and was in search of a hair stylist with expertise in recreating and maintaining the crocheted Senegalese twist style that I have been wearing for the past several years. This Hair "Boutique" came highly recommended by a colleague at work as a highly qualified stylist capable of doing the crochet style that I was looking for. I have very fine and thin hair that requires using a net and double knotting each twist to ensure the twists stay secure. I tried to explain this to Monet, the owner and only stylist employed at this salon, but she informed me that she would use neither. The end result looked great but three twist fell out before I even made it home. Subsequently the entire front section fell out by the end of the night. I called her the next day to see of she could redo it the way I asked her to to begin with. After trying to reach her several times throughout the next day she never returned any of my calls. On the third day she texted me saying that not only would not repair the section which fell out but was also not willing to continue to be my stylist and that I should find someone else. I tried in vain to contact her so we could discuss her response but she refused to return my calls or texts. So if that wasn't unprofessional enough I stopped by her shop so I could show her how he twists were continuously slipping out, and here's the kicker: SHE CALLED THE POLICE ON ME AND ASKED THEM TO ESCORT ME FROM THE PREMISES FOR HARASSMENT!! Apparently, she is not qualified to work with thin hair and just didn't have the courage to admit it. These are pics of her "expertise:

Got a sew in done on 8/31, Monet was so professional and friendly. She knows her stuff when it come down to hair. The shop was a very comfortable environment. Her braiding was not too tight, not like the last sew in I got that took out my edges from tension of extremely tight braids. My hair looked and felt amazing! Still getting a lot of compliments on my new look.  I now have a new beautician!

As good as it gets.  Monique is amazing.  Very welcoming environment.  The work she did is amazing.  After many over processing situations, she brought my long hair back and it looks incredibly natural.  She knows what she is doing.  She was finished under 2 hours and I have a really huge head...lol,  Seriously, look no further but please not too many folks as I need her:))))))

I love Monet! The salon is one of the best...online appointment booking and I go straight to the shampoo bowl when I walk in the door! Every time! 2 thumbs up!
