Philip Pelusi Salons used to care about customer service but that has certainly changed. If you get a bad haircut (which I did) they make no attempts to rectify the situation and in fact try to put the blame on you. The manager even confirmed that it was a bad haircut and it was too short to fix anything in the front. What she did in the back actually made it worse. She was incredible rude and I was the problem, not the fact that I got an incredibly awful haircut. I would stay away from the Upper St Clair Salon and especially Isabella who needs to be back to hair cutting school. I told her how important it was to get a good cut because of upcoming plans. A corporate person said I had only come there so many times in the last 2 years (I don't count them). I was out of service for 5 months due to a broken humerus, but I have been a regular customer for years. I would post pictures of the awful cut but I am too embarrassed for anyone to see it. I was not looking for free haircuts just to look at it and try to fix what could be done. I even offered to pay for another cut.

Absolutely AWFUL customer service! Hence the reason this salon is dead all the time. My first visit to Shannon was the beginning of November and she highlighted my hair with foils. It took her an unusually long time (4 hours) but I figured she was taking her time as I was a new client and she wanted to do a good job. I was satisfied with the color and about two weeks later on Nov. 25th I called the salon to book another appointment with her for December. Shannon actually answered the phone when I called so I booked directly with her for Dec.16th at 11:00 a.m. The day of my appointment I get to the salon 10 minutes early and checked in with the receptionist. She tells me that I'm not in the computer. I politely inform her that my appointment is at 11:00 a.m. with Shannon and I booked it with her over two weeks ago. At that point Shannon comes up to the front and greets me. I told her what was going on and she agrees with me and says she remembers booking my appointment and speaking with me. She acts confused and asked me if I canceled my appointment. Of course I said, no. Then she proceeds to tell me she doesn't know what happened but that she cannot fit me in until Dec. 23rd. I politely informed her that I have to go out of town for the holidays, and that I have had this appointment with her for over two weeks and I need my hair colored today. She said she "doesn't have time today or until Dec. 23rd." Again, I told her that would not work for me. Then she said "I can throw some color on the roots but I don't have time to do foils." Ummm no. I get foils, NOT all over color... she's not "throwing" anything on my roots. My God, who even says something like that to a customer??? While all this was going on she did not have a client in her chair so I asked if she could start my foils and work me in between her other clients. She said "no, I don't have time." Any other colorist at any other salon would have done that but she flat out refused. At that point I was furious and said, I have had an appointment with you for two weeks, YOU messed up the schedule, not me, I need my hair done! But she made ZERO attempt to accommodate me or rectify HER mistake. I have never seen such blatant disregard of customer service in my life. Shannon has no business being in the hair industry or any other customer service job for that matter. I left a message with their corporate customer service and no one has bothered to return my call. Not surprised. Steer clear of Philip Pelusi salons in Pittsburgh because it's obvious that this 'corporation' is only interested in opening as many salons as possible, NOT giving customers the quality service they deserve for the prices they charge.

Worst haircut I've ever had salon at Pittsburgh Mills I had 5 different lengths cut into my hair did not get what I ask for and if the stylist was not able to do the cut then she should of said something

I was looking for a place to get a simple change from my natural blonde to a rose gold; almost $200 later my roots are basically black and my hair is barely pink at all. I am not a fan of this business and I dont plan on going back anytime soon.

I have been going to Philip Pelusi is the SS for years and I always leave happy with my hair and wax. Cameron is the best! I scheduled my bridal and bridal party hair and make up here with help from Tracy and they opened up early for us, had more than enough stylists to have us all taken care of and out the door in time for the ceremony. Would highly recommend!
