This review is a review for LILY at Phenix Salons. I have been a returning customer over the years. I loved Lily's work and she would always do great work! Not until today, have I noticed how unprofessional she is. It's like it was a whole new person and not even the Lily that used to do my hair. Congratulations Lily for succeeding to give me the most HORRIFIC hair experience in my entire lifetime! Let's start off with simply, Lily does not care about your hair or about you! You will be lucky if she even greets you. She yanked my hair so hard and was so rough putting on my bleach/color that it felt like I was being punched on the head as she put on each foil. There is absolutely NO reason to be going that fast and rough. I get that you're trying to do your work in the least amount of time to make more money but there is absolutely no reason that anyone's heads should feel abused from you brushing their hair or putting fouls on. Just imagine walking into a salon.. no "Hi, how are you?" Or "how have you been?" Just straight sit down and she starts slapping stuff on your head. She slaps it on so hard, bleach flew onto her dirty card, and she just scooped it up and put it back in the bowl. When she washed my hair, my head feels like it was on a rollercoaster ride from how fast she was washing and lifting my head. After that, she brushed my wet hair so hard it yanked on my ear piercings and almost ripped them out. I felt so uncomfortable in her suite the whole entire time from when I walked in to when I left. She doesn't smile, she doesn't talk, and she doesn't care how you feel. She is just straight up RUDE! If you cannot provide standard customer service then you should NOT be in this industry. Other reviews says that she says she's not much of a talker but when I went to her in the past she would talk to me. I remembered her being so nice and even when my hair took all day one day, she even bought me lunch. Today, was a completely different person. I went for the ash color and my hair just ended up blotchy with brassy areas and I already can feel how damaged it's going to be after I wash it. PLEASE TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! There are professional, personable, and affordable hair stylists out there and LILY IS NOT IT!!

Whatever you do DO NOT GO TO LILLY. She gives new clients time slots away to older clients even if she already told a time to the new client. I texted her asking for a last minute appointment and I was relieved for her to day she had one so I called and CANCELED my other appointment so she could cut my hair. 30m later she said sorry I'm no longer available for that time. I questioned why and she said an older client had called and she gave them my slot. I told her that was very unprofessional then she replied saying I shouldn't be mad because it was last minute and she hopes I don't expect everything I want in life (also very unprofessional) it was never me wanting everything or demanding she take me. It was about being told a time and me telling her ok and her turning around and giving my slot away. To conclude the conversation she said she doesn't have time for new clients sorry. The unprofessional attitude and the way she conducts business is sad. Do not expect to have any time of special treatment with her.

Jessie Pravaga botched my 21 inch long, virgin, un-dyed hair. My hair was over processed on one side, resulting in brittle yellow steaks over a too dark brown base. It's patchy around my face where she put bleach half way up strands. The highlights weren't placed on the roots and a second shade of highlight color was added to only the back of my head. I provided photos of work done on me previously and other examples (a week in advance) and she insisted she knew how to achieve it. Once in the chair, she showed me a brown color that I didn't agree with (I pointed to much lighter tones but she argued) and she insisted and repeatedly said "trust me. It will be light" like the photos. *Admittedly this should've been when I got up and left, but I don't know anything about hair dye or processes, so I stayed and trusted her.* At every step of the way I stopped her and told her it was "too dark" and "it's not like the pictures". It didn't look right but she continued to say "trust me". I had no choice but to let her continue or I would've ended up with half a head of highlights. I left the chair in tears. She was upset I was unhappy. I told her right then that it is not what we talked about, it's too dark, it doesn't look like the picture, but she started to defend herself and make me out to be the party at fault. That I didn't explain what I wanted clearly. She wanted video of the color and I obliged so as not to hurt her feelings, but it looks awful. I paid the full price including a tip, but after second and third opinions from other colorist, I decided to seek a partial or full refund. She refused. Please do no use Jessie Pravaga for color. There are many other colorist who use modern techniques to get the hair you want. I will be seeking a different colorist to try to correct this botched hair dye, and essentially pay a second time.

Hair Work By Lily She's rude and doesn't know a thing about customer service. When I go to a salon, I expect to feel welcomed and a bit pampered, otherwise I'd just go to a cheap chain hair salon. I scheduled a simple trim with her. I was 9 minutes late due to two car accidents on 75. The very first thing she says to me is, "You're late." It was so abrupt and rude. I told her I texted her. Turns out the text didn't go through while I was stuck in traffic. I showed it to her, but she didn't care and was visibly annoyed with me. She asked me if I even needed a shampoo. I thought shampoos were complimentary, but since she was so clearly put out by it, I declined. And because it was not being washed, she wouldn't bother styling it. I got a hurried, dry haircut on oily, dirty hair. She was more concerned with the other girl getting the hair color because it's going on Instagram. I understand that I was late by 9 minutes and my trim is not Instagram worthy, but that shouldn't warrant crappy service. She doesn't even smile. I've been to her before and had to wait on her, but I guess it's unacceptable for her to wait. (According to other reviews, she's notorious for making her customers wait.) As for the haircut itself, it was basic and she removed my split ends. Good for her for not screwing that up. Overall, she made $40 and no tip for the miserable 20 minutes with me. I will never go back to her and I'm sure she doesn't care.

If I could I would not have put any stars. I went in with hopes of finding a long term hairstylist after a recommendation from a friend and Instagram photos. She had me wait over 30 minutes to complete someone else's hair before she began working on me. Her store is filthy (looks like she hasn't dusted since the day she moved into the room, dirt and dust completely piled in the clumps of the corners of her cart), threw bleaching product on my Louis backpack (her response "why would you bring brand name" while the other client has a chanel bag?), stains my face mask because she is extremely sloppy, brushes my hair aggressively, tangled my hair more when blow drying hair and got my hair stuck in the blow dryer, the list goes on. What I'm more upset about is the fact that I left spending $500 for the same hair color I walked in with, just curled. The work that was done (looks like she just toned my hair) was more within the range of at most $200 I reached out to her and her response was to find a better hair stylist. Don't go to her, she's been burned numerous times based off the reviews which is why she only accepts zelle or Venmo as a form of payment. She should also clarify the forms of payments she accepts and shouldn't expect people to assume that just because they put a deposit for an appointment.
