Pangaea Salon in Denver, CO

Have been here a couple times- first time with Dani was great, she gave me an awesome cut. Then came back and had someone else cut my hair and he did an ok job, nothing special. Then returned a third time- this was my last time at Pangaea. Dani absolutely destroyed my hair. I showed her pictures from my first cut from her that I had really liked and asked for something similar and she started cutting huge pieces off the back. Gave me the worst haircut I've ever had- super uneven, choppy in the back, looked terrible for about three months. Can finally laugh about it now that it's growing out, but I won't be returning. Confidence was in the drain after that haircut. Uneven from the front, back was weirdly short, no way to style this.

Awesome spot! My stylist Rebekah was absolutely wonderful. It's hard to find someone who takes the time to do a nice fade. 10/10 recommend.

I have very curly hair and my stylist was Dani. She did great! I felt like she really knew about how to cut and style curly hair, and after the haircut she gave me tips on how to take care of my curls. Also, the salon was very cute and well decorated. Will be coming back for my next haircut

After many years, I decided to update my review for this hair salon and an experience I dealt with 4 or 5 years ago. I was bullied and intimidated by one of the hair stylists Dana, about my Yelp review. I wanted my hair a burgundy color (my hair was black/ dark brown) and after explaining what I'd like to achieve at the time, she totally agreed and said it was achievable. It was still my normal hair color and she just curled it/ washed it. Sold me Paul Mitchell hair products and said I needed to restore my hair, in order to get it into a bright color. After 2 months of selling me Paul Mitchell Marula Oil, I felt it did nothing for my hair. I was very disappointed that after investing time, energy and money for this product, she said she wouldn't lift my hair color. She was also rather cold towards me and overall felt like I was getting scammed. I totally understand that there were not bad intentions and decided to no longer buy the product. I was a regularly Yelping, just doing my own thing and left an honest review about the experience; Dana lost it and sent me intimating, threatening text messages to silence me. She also said she would never service me again and totally made fun of my hair condition (at the time) and was downright rude. I was so shocked from the text messages that I was forcibly asked to update this review and give her a better review... but it's not fair to me as a client to be asked to manipulate my review for her sake. If she doesn't work there anymore, that's great. I totally am able to return, but if she does still work there, I want her to know that I'm still going to keep my review honest.

Well, you know where I'm going from there. She completely ruined my salon experience and I didn't go to salons for a long time-- she was cold, callous and totally unprofessional. She made me delete the text messages, because frankly, I was young and afraid. I was 17 or 18 at the time.
