Palm Beach Tan in Spartanburg, SC

This place now goes by Palm Beach Tan. Associate at the desk seemed clueless about anything in the store. They wanted to charge $50 for a spray tan. She laughed and said, "yeah, their stuff is more expensive." Will never return.

Very unprofessional, rude and the store is always an absolute mess; they definitely don't clean the towels as well as they should and hardly clean the beds you can always still see stuff on the beds and have to re clean it. Not to mention they always close before the time they are supposed to; if it's not convenient for them they don't want to deal with you; everything is about a sale for them which is annoying; don't waste your money on the lotion because you can get them online so much cheaper and they only ever wanna sale you the expensive eyewear knowing they have cheaper ones. The only reason I ever go is to even out my tan because I work outside and even then I'd much rather go to palm beach tan or planet fitness. Just not worth the money or the stress trying to deal with this company, they over charge and mess up your membership; you have a certain day you can come in and cancel or they still take the money out. The only time they are nice to anyone is if they spend a bunch of money so they can get their commission of of the sale.

Ultra Tan on Tunnel Rd in Asheville is horrible. I've tanned there for nearly 16yrs. They owe me one months package. They wanted to charge me $73 for only 2 weeks of tanning. The salon is so run down & dirty.

BUYER BEWARE!  I suggest you NOT sign up for their packages with automatic monthly renewal (which is the only way I was told I COULD sign up for the monthly package/special)!  Should you sign up, be aware of the fine print on the electronic agreement you sign.  You will NOT get hard copies of anything you "sign!"  Know, too, that unless you sign up for their packages on the 1st of the month, you will NOT get a full month's package!  I signed up on June 4th for one of their "monthly" packages.  I called in on July 2nd to cancel my renewal for the 2nd month (or to inquire as to whether or not I needed to come in to sign off on the cancellation, which is required by the way).  It was then that I was told I had already been charged for the 2nd month.  All renewal charges are processed on the 1st of the month.  Cancellations must be made in person by the 25th of the previous month!  Again, you get nothing in writing showing that this is their policy or that you signed off on that!  So, not only was I charged for another month that I don't want or need.  But I lost out on the 3 days in the 1st month of my "monthly" package because I didn't sign up on the 1st.  None of this is any different, I guess, than any other shady monthly subscription practice you hear of so often.  I just would have thought better of my local salon.  Wrong!

I am severely disappointed in this business.  They charge you for packages but their customer service fails to meet the package standards.
For five weeks they have had a key bed closed to its customers.
I submitted a contact to the company concerning this and never had any reply.
They should be comping all customers with packages that include this nonworking bed a discount as they are not meeting their brochure promises concerning this package.
During the holiday season it was even more important for this bed to be repaired for use.  Disappointed they care so little for their customers.
