Palm Beach Tan in Myrtle Beach, SC

Have to wait exactly 24 hours before you tan the next day.  They also charged my cc even after canceling the proper way.

I moved here from Charlotte, NC in May. I have tanned at Palm Beach in Charlotte for years, but they have been beat. I have to say the customer service here is awesome! Michelle is fantastic and very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a spray tan or bed, this place is it.

I've tanned here before and the woman who has previously helped me was awesome! I went in today and wanted just one month of tanning, nothing more. I was told I could purchase a membership package. I was told I could only get the premium package though because they only have premium beds or one level silver bed (level 1). I was a little confused at first by this because, um WHAT! I simply said ok that's fine I'll do a premium month. The girl said ok no problem but it's a membership so it's monthly and when you need to cancel you just have to cancel by this date of whatever month. I formed the girl behind the desk I did not want a package since I planned on only tanning for the month. She stated that they don't do monthly but I could buy a package or single tans. She told me the max of individual tans was 5 but that might work for me. I stated that I wished to tan more than 5 times in the month though. The girl was unsure of what to do at this point so she recommended I buy the 5 and than can buy singles after that. I'm not sure if this is normal, but this is the WORST planning for customers. I asked the girl where the other UltraTans were located and she could not even inform me. I stated I would just take my business elsewhere since I did not want to buy singles (and be spending an arm and a leg) or a membership.

This is the only spot I will send my lady tanning because of how nice and accommodating the staff was. Brittany, was able to show me the tanning packages best for her that I could get for my lady and also explain the different tanning solutions they sell there that I should purchase.

For a guy it's very intimidating going into a tanning salon for a girl but when you have this great customer service rep making the process easier it puts you at ease as the consumer. They have tons of tanning beds and there's a lot of free parking in the shopping center.

I'm sure they have many other locations but after this great experience I will only go this UltraTan.

I downloaded yelp just to write this review. Me and my mom went here for a spray tan yesterday. Worst experience I've ever had. The girl could of had better customer service qualities. She was not friendly and did not make us feel welcome. The ONE SPRAY TAN BOOTH THAT WORKED HAD WATER ON THE FLOOR! When getting out of the machine I literally slipped and almost fell. I'm embarrassed for this location. Shut it down ‍ Management clearly isn't doing what's needed to in terms of operation and employees.
