Palm Beach Tan in Lubbock, TX

i love palm beach tan, all the ladies have been so nice, and it's been super clean every time I have been there. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a friendly and clean place to tan.

They're rude and liars. Lied about actual legal documents tried to cancel account and literally had to have my banker stop them from illegally drafting money from my account. Pretty crappy! Always tan needs to come back!I did not sign up for a monthly membership I was tricked into signing a membership when I signed the little computer key pad for my month then lied to they said they emailed me a copy and they didn't, I never received a receipt for my purchase of one month of tanning, my $80 lotion or the candle I purchased. I was never told to cancel by the 25th. I find this very concerning as business owner of more than 20 years here in Lubbock, We will never do business with your company again and word of mouth is the best and worse reference. I just lost my elderly mother and dealing with ignorant young adults who clearly do not know Texas laws probably need to educate themselves before threatening legal action. This was not obtained legally , never had anyone go over word for word contract details with myself, no printed copy gone over. I will be talking to my attorney and I will be letting the Better Business Bureau know along with consumer alerts and my attorney is a state representative here in Texas. I will be letting Kem Paxton's office now Attorney General of Texas. I am not blowing smoke up your butt either. I am going to do all the above! I called my banker informed him of the situation and he has put a stop to any payments from Palm Beach. Traci Lincoln

The girls at 82nd and University have always taken care of me. Place is clean and they enforce the 6 feet rule. Not sure why they closed but other places open? I'm going to freeze my membership for now.

My experience with PBT is not a great one. I would have given 1 star except for the most part the staff has been somewhat friendly. However, they always ALWAYS pushed products to sell me (I get it, I work in retail) but you would think after the first few "no"'s they would understand to back off a little. I used to tan at a place that is no longer in business that PBT bought out and never had problems. When I went in to get pricing on spray tans I was APPALLED. $45 for ONE spray tan?! I went ahead and got the $65 monthly membership to come in as many times as I want, thank goodness because I literally had to get 2-3 in the course of 2-3 days if I wanted to look tan, and yes, I picked the darkest they had and even paid an EXTRA $5 to get the "double dark", didn't do jack for me. After I got fed up with the spray tans I decided to cancel my membership, but made it too late before they could take out my next month's pay, it went up to like $74 or $75..... what? Anyways it was like a day after they charged me and I asked if I could just exchange for a product or get my money back, they of course said no, but they could switch my membership to a bed package so I agreed. I went ahead and asked how much was the "higher level" beds for a month and Y'ALL. $100 a month to TAN. What the actual heck. Anyways I don't have a particular problem with this location- just the company itself. I would much rather support a more local business than this huge corporate money hole. Bottom line, do not use Palm Beach Tan.

I've been tanning here for five years. I spend a lot of money and find it absolutely ridiculous to walk into an establishment that is hotter inside than it is outside. To expect your employees to work in these conditions is horrible. I understand that beds are hot; however, I've tanned in places where I have never felt like I was suffocating due to the heat. No exaggeration, it feels like you're getting a heat stroke while you're laying in a tanning bed because there is no AC. It has been like this the last two years. I would almost be willing to drive out of my way to go to a different salon. People pay good money to not sweat and feel like they're getting a heat stroke. The owner needs to step up and fix the situation. Better yet, they need to work in these conditions so they know what their employees feel like everyday. Ridiculous!
