I was so pleasantly surprised by this experience! I was nervous when I walked in because there was no one else there and the pictures on the wall seem quite outdated. However, I got my long hair cut to shoulder length with choppy layers and I love it!! It's the best haircut I've had in a long time and it was only $40! This definitely not a fancy salon but they deliver. Would recommend!
It wasn't the place for me. The owner told me that my past the chest length long curly hair was not "modern" and that I should cut it to my shoulders. I got the sense that she just didn't like long hair, so I decided to just get a shampoo and style rather than a cut. She did a nice job on that. I would not recommend this salon for anyone who wants to keep their long hair due to the owner's attitude. I got the sense she really wanted to cut off a lot of my hair.
This was my third time visiting this salon and I'm always satisfied! I have really thick curly hair (I'm Afro Asian Latina) and was scared about who I was going to allow you cut my hair but the stylist here soothed all my worries. She did a big chop when I first initially visited, the second time was a pixie cut and today I got a mullet! This stylist is very experienced and clearly works with all hair types. I'd highly recommend this little gem of a salon especially for POC women looking for someone who can cut A-C hair
She does not stand by her work. I paid $100 for low lights which she was unaware how to do I had to instruct her. All the foiks were uneven and sloppy. Even blowing out the hair she didn't know how to do a simple blow out. It was a joke.
