Oscar Giovanni Salon & Spa in Painesville, OH

I really didn't want to post this, but after talking to a few professionals in the field and friends I think it's important that I post something about my experience. I've been to this business for her hair cut and color and I loved it. The front staff is great. My friend and I've been through a lot in the last two years and for Christmas my husband got us a gift card from Oscar Giovanni's for facials. She has never had one and I was really excited for her to go. She was overwhelmed on how wonderful it was. She received excellent service, the usual neck and shoulder message, beverage and just the whole works. I was really pleased. I went in to get mine after her, but with a different person. It was definitely not the same. I've had a few facials so I knew what to expect. I was really disappointed. I really should of spoken up, but it's hard for me. The girl had long nails, so she wore gloves the whole time. Hated the feeling of them rolling on my skin. I was asked if I wanted a hand and arm massage, but didn't get the preferred neck and shoulders. I received the facial, but I would have preferred skin on skin. The gloves just didn't feel comfortable. I was never offered water either. It's not an inexpensive half hour facial. The crazy thing is that I've received better ones from Brown Aveda school for 1/2 the price and felt more pampered.

Recently had an appointment with Angela for full highlights, a trim and eyebrow tinting. She took amazing care of me and had me looking beautiful by the end of my appointment. I absolutely love my hair and could not recommend her more. She suggested some hair products that they carry that help me to duplicate the way she styled my hair and I've actually been able to recreate the look. I'm so excited to have found a stylist in my area! Thank you, Angela!

This is by far the WORST hair salon I have ever been to. I made a hair appointment 1 week in advance for my birthday. I scheduled my whole birthday around my hair appointment so I could have my hair freshly dyed before i went out to dinner. When I arrived for my full foil (what I made my appointment for) she told me that she didn't have enough time to do my hair and basically told me she wasn't doing my hair although I had an appointment a week prior to the day and she knew exactly what I was coming in to get. I am so upset with the way I was treated and the awful service I received. My hair stylists name was Angela if i can even consider her my hair stylist considering she basically kicked me out before doing anything to my hair I also wanted to add that she blamed all of this on the front desk for scheduling my appointment under a root touch up and i'm not sure whose fault this was but all I know is I was treated awfully.

The feel of this place is personal. On the way to Starbucks, I came here in search of a mid-roadtrip haircut (I had to be at a dance that evening. I had really just stopped on the exit to have an iced chai but as I drove by Oscar Giovanni, I decided to stop in and was glad I did. I luckily was able to get a haircut on the spot with a hairstylist named Sarah. It was the best haircut I've ever received. She made me feel welcome and relaxed and the haircut itself was amazing. I wish I could go back but it's too far away from Buffalo where I live. The front desk woman (I forget her name) was so helpful and I'm glad I came here. Oh, and I still ended getting my iced chai but it was merely the whipped cream on top of a beautiful rest stop. And I definitely felt rested afterwards.

Always have a great experience here. I've been a customer for 8 years. Everyone that works here is friendly, knowledgeable and team oriented. Angela does my hair and always makes me feel glamorous when I leave. Renee is the best massage therapist I have ever gone to. The entire nail team is great. I highly recommend this place. Any stylist will take great care of you.
