Organic Nails and Spa 2 in Fairfax, VA

Requested to clean and take off existing manicure. It took 3 people to consult "who will provide the service" and really was sort of bare minimum quality of work. I came out with 75% clean nails, some were still chipping. Does anyone care? No! This is the standard service in this industry :(

I know no one does designs much anymore, and I feel sooo bad every time for asking ! But yesterday she accepted the design challenge and flourished! Been going here for 5ish years and I've only gotten a handful of fantastic, kind, and attention detailed techs. She's for the keeps

I walked in for service. The staff was rude. When i walked I asked to make an appointment and they said in rude tone "come back later we are busy," I said I live far. I'll make an appointment for tomorrow that fine. The lady ask in a rude tone "what time tomorrow?" She did not even tell me the availability and expectations me to read her agenda schedule backwards. I ask what times you have available. And she was still rude and expected me to tell her: It was very confusing. They don't know how to communicate. They gave me a booklet to view their services and as I was booking my appointment they were making the communication very difficult . One of the staff told me to check website for update prices because their current booklet is outdated. I told them "okay, i'm leaving. Bye." I walked out because it's frustrating to come and feel like the service just to book an appointment is low. I not trusting them to do my nails. If you want customers treat them with respect from the moment they walk in. Update your nail price on the booklet services and don't rudely ask us to check the website for updates prices. Those prices should be updated on your booklet.

I called and asked for availability for a same day gel pedicure. There was some back and forth regarding timing (as I needed to be done by a certain timeframe for another appointment) and after I said that I can just come back another time -- they hesitantly told me to come at the appointment time I requested (12PM). I arrived at 11:59AM and wasn't seated until 12:10PM in the chair. I was soaking my feet in the water when the receptionist said that one of the techs didn't feel well and left, so it would be another 15 minutes before I could get serviced by another tech. I ended up taking my feet out of the water since they were getting raisin-y. I was more annoyed that they accepted me as a customer during my initial phone call instead of allowing me to go elsewhere, since they were clearly understaffed that day. Debbie started my service at 12:30PM and she was rough AF throughout my experience. I had gel on from a previous pedicure and she used the electric nail filer to remove them (instead of soaking them in acetone) and disregarded how the hot the filer felt against my toenails and didn't ask me about length when cutting my toenails or how the polish looked. Overall, it was an abrasive service instead of a relaxing one, and was clearly rushed so she could move onto the next customer -- my pedicure was sloppily applied and she left the hot towel on my legs for 20 seconds and said "thank you" once she was done. During the service, she kept referencing to her coworker on how busy/slammed they were. Since the service started late, the front desk provided me with a discount off my services, which was appreciated. However, I'll be checking out other nail salons moving forward since they're a dime a dozen in this area.
