Orchid Nails & Hair in Folsom, CA

There was a lady with red hair and glasses who was so rude and disrespectful. A lady who barely spoke English said she chipped a nail and I'm LITERALLY 15, a child. So I've heard lots of things. And the lady in red hair and glasses had an attitude saying "She LITERALLY HAS 2 other clients so go tomorrow" and the lady wanted it today and could've waited but the red haired woman was so rude saying to leave and come tomorrow. That's not even the worst part. The same red haired lady did my little cousin who is 12 french tip Acrylic nails and she did them so thick that my cousin started Bawling her eyes. The lady had no care in the world and clearly wanted us to leave. We all tried to cheer her up as the red haired woman was aggressively wiping down the top coat with still the rest of the thick acrylic nails on her. My cousins family couldn't wait they had to be somewhere so they left my little cousins nails as is as said they would come back tomorrow. My other cousin who is twins with the 13 year old cousin, was right next to her and she's telling me she was so rude and did not care about what she was doing and it seemed like she was doing it super fast to get it finished and get her tip. I am honestly disgusted by that one lady and nobody else. If you can't do your job right don't do it at all PLEASE. And learn to talk to people correctly.

Came here for a mani-pedi after eating pho next door, had a pedi once before and it felt good (similar to a foot massage) but first time having a mani lol. 3 of us (all guys) decided to try this place out since the reviews were so good. They were seated pretty quick but I had to wait almost 25 mins which sucked, they were half done before I even started, they kept saying wait a few minutes....25 is not a few lol. Anyhow, the lady who did my pedi gave my feet/legs a real good massage after the usual stuff. Wasn't until I got home that I noticed the toenails were cut kinda messy, about half way through my pedi another lady pulled up to start my mani (didn't know they do both at the same time) but the mani was very unwhelming and my nails again looked kinda uneven....i think I do a better job myself. Like I said the massage/cleaning part was relaxing so I can't give them 1* or 2* but I'd be lying if I said they deserved more than 3. The staff were friendly, just expected nails to be cut better I could have done.

If you want somewhere where you can come relax and get your nails done without feeling rushed, this is the place for you. I've been here 2 times and each time I'm pleased with the service. Here are things I like: The salon is clean: very specious. The inside is not too loud, you can actually have quiet conversations. There is always parking. Many color options. Quality work. Reasonable prices. Etc Tip. Call ahead and make an apt. Bc as I said they take time with their clients.

I'm new to the area, so I've been trying out different salons, trying to find one I like. The ladies at this shop are super nice and friendly, I called on a Sunday around lunch time to see if they had availability and they told me, they could see me in 15 minutes so that was a plus. They did a great job on my gel manicure, my only criticism was that it took over 1 1/2 hours ! Not sure if this is normal or just an off day ( I did have two different technicians work on me so there was some repetition, different techniques different styles I imagine ). Some huge differences I noticed coming from the Bay Area are nail salons Santize their instruments they just don't pull them out from a box and beginning using them from client to client, so that was a turn off , another flaw that I found was they use the nail drill to remove the gel polish, I'm use to a different technique that doesn't have to potential to damage my nails.

I took my 14 year old daughter here a couple months ago. First they were able to see us right away even though we did not have appointment. Second they were very kind toward my daughter and me. Third they were able to create the style my daughter describe to them. Fourth their prices and very reasonable. The haircut was. Ore then just a trim and even with hair washing and blow drying the cost was only 30 dollars. From start to finish it was a great experience. I highly recommend this business!
