I have always had a nice experience here. The staff are kind and friendly, but not annoyingly so. I have been here for a pedicure a few times and really enjoyed the experience and the pedicure lasted much longer than most other places, no chipping/peeling. I think my only "wish" would be a little more explanation of what to do upon arriving, since I go to nail salons so rarely. But, otherwise, I felt comfortable there.
I went in to get my nails filled not the place I normally go to but this one was closer. The lady that did my nails was awful she never asked if I wanted rounded or squared she just went with it and left me with very uneven nails, she applied the acrylic very thick and uneven and the polish colors are very limited if you don't want a shade of pink you don't have many choices. Oh and she got polish on the side of every nail and proceeded to use her own nail to scrap it off every side of nails (pet peeve). Really shouldn't have someone doing nails that can't even paint nails.
This was the worst pedi I've ever received!! I'm here for a wedding and needed a pedicure. Big mistake coming here! First, my nail tech made one of my toes bleed and couldn't get it to stop. My heels were never "buffed". Then, when my nails were drying, she touched them to see if they were dry! And they weren't!! My suggestion to to find a cleaner, better place!
Wow! Needed a quick manicure before heading back to NYC. I opted for a french gel manicure with blue tips. (something fun for vacation) Regular gel is $25 and french is $30 which is totally reasonable. My nail tech was extremely meticulous, making sure my nails looked flawless. She let my nails dry under the UV lamp for the correct amount of time. Most nail salons rush the process and then you end up with chips and cracks a week later. They also have new gel polishes that change color in the light. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and will definitely be coming back. Sidenote: pedicures are $30 which is a little steep. Get a manicure and you can't go wrong!
Not too thrilled with this place. Friend from work recommended it. What she forgot to tell me was make sure to get Julie! I stopped in the nite before a family vacation to have basic mani and pedi. The tech who worked on me had cut my cuticles so bad they were bleeding. She put some blue liquid on them which burned, finished me and off I went. For the next week I had 2 fingers on each hand and a couple of toes that were very sore. I was even going to take a picture but why bother? Never going again (even if I got Julie)! Not sure why all the focus on cuticles anyway. I get they have to be done but not back to my first knuckles!
