NAILS STAR in Spring Hill, FL

I've been getting my nails done here for almost 5 yrs. The staff is friendly and very competent and their hours are great for my busy schedule. They accept walk-ins, but It's usually very busy so making an appt is best (and normally they can a accommodate same-day or even next/hour appts) Nail Star has a LOT of loyal customers, most of whom they welcome by name (including me!) and they wouldn't have them if we weren't all happy with the services we receive.

They took way too long to do my nails and they looked terrible. They were crooked and the polish looked very bumpy and ugly. I couldnt stay any longer to get them redone so I went back the next day. They refused to redo them said they could only fix the ones that were crooked, which they couldn't even do properly because they came out even more crooked than before. I over paid for these and they said the couldn't give me a refund.

If you pick from the cheapest coloring set which is basic colors with no add-on, they will charge you $60. I did just a manicure and NO pedicure. Worst of all is that I am left so sad that every nail has a different shape. i've had my nails done in so many different places, and this by far has to be the worst manicure I've ever had. I don't mean to sound mean, but it's the truth. All the work done with the machine nail filer in extreme hurry. This nail tech had no patience. Worst $60 ever given.

I had gone here during the pandemic once and was not thrilled with the service, the actual Place, or the result. I decided to give it another chance for convenience sake... The space itself smells like a hookah bar. which is probably from the tobacco depot next store. If you want a luxury experience, do not go there. They didn't have a designated room for waxing. There were ladies getting their eyebrows waxed next to me, getting a pedicure. They didn't change the paper towels they were using on the table in between the last customer and my full set. Gross. I got a acrylic full set with gel polish and a gel pedicure. My total with a $20 tip came out to $126. I will try another nail salon in my area before I go back here. They need a serious remodel, but at least, in the meantime, try and look presentable or dont charge as much.

Scott is fantastic! He is always consistent for my fills (even gets all the nooks and crannies missed by most). The only thing I don't like is the up charge for gel polish (but they aren't only ones that do it so can't really fault them) but they also charge when I bring my own. I have been going here for years and definitely will keep going for as long as I'm in area.
