Nails & Beyond in Madison Heights, VA

They don't know the meaning of how long is the wait? 30 mins. Put you in a chair and make you wait another 30 minutes. Also they do not understand the concept of appointments. Geez!!!

I went to this salon with my sister-in-law- it was my first pedicure. I hear that a lot of guys won't do pedicures, but I had a good experience and would certainly recommend this place. Diabetics like me should pay close attention to their feet. Especially men. Everything here was clean and bright, and there were plenty of techs to go around. There was a little language difficulty, but the tech made herself understood, even tho we were both wearing masks. It starts with a foot soak in some blue liquid, followed by a trim, and exfoliation of dead dry skin on foot and lower leg. There was a lot of it. The basin was part of the chair and filled and emptied automatically and had a plastic disposable liner. Then, a thorough wash and some more nail work. All the while my back was getting a workout from the massage chair. By the time I was done I was relaxed as a dishrag and making a resolution to get another session in a month, or so. The price was excellent, about $28.00, considering how long that very pleasant lady spent with me and the amount of materials used. Next time I'll get some color on my toes- they had a dark blue I thought would be great. Ive given four stars only because I have nothing to compare this place to as it was my first. Cant imagine how the experience could be better that wouldn't involve whiskey : ) I'm puzzled at the two "one-star" reviews. I saw nothing which would support their views, and I notice that they're both from "out of town"..

I will never let anyone else do my nails because none of the nail techs I went to in another state is as precise and meticulous as Jay. Very pleasant, thoughtful. He had someone turn up the heat without me having to tell him because he saw I was cold. He takes his time but at the same time can speed up his work. I'd rather have it done right than rush. I got pink and white acrylics for the 4th time by him and they always last a lot longer than usual. I mentioned I worked with my hands a lot and so he put three layers of acrylic on to make them super resistant to breaks. The place isn't fancy by any means but his work is worth overlooking that. I've had the owner do my nails and was pleased with his work as well.

Disgusting horrible place. My daughter had tips put on with an ombré manicure. The woman cut her burned her on EVERY FINGER and then blamed my daughter saying she has sensitive nails?!? The guy doing my fill slipped with the drill cut my finger and burned and cut me to the point I made him stop and he said I do everyone's nails like this I don't know what your problem is? I have to go have them fixed because there is so much acrylic that is over the nail They are nasty rude and the place is dirty. Run and never go in
