Nail Star in Henderson, NV

Had a wonderful experience here, Cathy is very sweet and gentle. Will be back  everyone seems happy and cheerful.

I'm so glad I found this place! They are lovely! They LISTEN to what I ask for and have recreated everything I've shown them I wanted in a picture on my phone, lol. The salon is cute and clean, and they are pros!

Clean and service was great! I enjoyed my conversation with my technician and feel like i finally found my spot.

I make the drive out to Henderson because they are the only salon that can make my gel manis last. Super friendly staff & pretty (and clean!) interior. This time I asked for a soft French & she delivered exactly what I envisioned. They also sell very pretty bottles of cuticle oil infused with organic florals & crystals. The lavender scent was lovely! I def recommend visiting Nail Star.

I'm new to the area and took a chance on this salon since the location was convenient and the reviews seemed promising. I chose an upgraded milk and honey pedicure and a regular manicure. The pedicure was rushed and was supposed to include callus removal but apparently at this salon that means them using the little white scrubber thing only. They didn't put anything between my toes while painting to prevent them from smudging (I'll attach some photos of the bad paint job) then for the manicure, I don't think the woman doing my nails even has her license (seems like she's the mother or older relative of someone who owns the salon who was just taught how to do nails by the owner) bc she removed nail that was attached to the nail bed on the side (again I'll attach photos) and my nails are completely crooked. I politely asked for the mail file to my nails to fix it and she wouldn't give me the file she "fixed" them herself. Then, she haphazardly painted the base coat on my finger nails. I brought my own Essie polish which is my fave color, I use this exact bottle/brush all the time, but bc she was in such a rush she kept slamming my brush into the bottle jamming all the bristles up and causing them to stick out. She couldn't figure out at ALL why my nail polish looked streaky and not smooth and tried to put my hand down in a way I wouldn't see the polish. I obviously noticed and wanted her to redo the really bad one, which she did but without a base coat this time. Then she told me to stay sitting so my nails could dry. That is, only until more clients walked in and she needed my chair so she rushed me out of the salon with wet nails and guess what, OF COURSE they are ruined. $100 down the drain for NOTHING. Please consider another nail salon bc this is horrible taking peoples money for this service. I wish there were more regulations for nail salons bc way too many unlicensed people getting away with providing services they're not qualified for.
