Nail in Dothan, AL

The owner was very rude to me when I contacted her about being dissatisfied with my nails on 07/01/23. I typically do my own pedicures, but I decided to treat myself to what I thought was a luxury nail salon. I was dissatisfied and the nail technician seemed really anxious and nervous. I did inform her that I would post a review. Use this at your discretion, I'm never going back there myself. You have one time to show me who you are. Here's a quote from the owner, "My shop my policy." It didn't set well with my soul. This place doesn't deserve my money. Customer service matter!

I went to Luxy Nails in the shopping center on 231 North.
i walked in and one lady rudely asked me about my mask( this is after state restrictions have been lifted- July 2021). I said  I left it in my car, but didn't they have one they could give me.? She gave me one.   I do not have a problem wearing the mask. I completely understand their concerns and I respect their policy. However, as she is telling me this, I saw 2 Customers already in there with no masks. Four customers came in after me with no masks and not one word was said to them. This is what upset me. Even one  of the workers wore his mask underneath his chin!  Also, the same lady who asked me about the mask later waxed a customer's eyebrows without her mask on nor the customer. This is very close proximit.
The service was okay, but did not did spend as much time on the removal of dead skin  as other times I've been.   But, after being embarrassed by the worker when clearly I was the only one on whom they chose to enforce their rule, I will most likely choose another salon.

I went in to have my acrylic nails trimmed  and filled in. I am pleased with the service I received. The place was nice and clean and I only waited for a few minutes.

Continuing from my previous review - After the lady spoilt my nails and ruined it, I was in so much pain for a week that I had to go to the dermatologist to check if my nails were permanently damaged. The dermatologist said, "the lady was very brutal to your nails". "It will take months for your nails to recover".  Absolutely not worth it. Their business needs to be shut down.

I'm visiting family in Dothan from New Jersey so this place was the closes to me and I couldn't believe how expensive they are I mean jersey is so much cheaper, so anyways I Went there today for a manicure and pedicure, and explained to the lady I only want gel manicure and regular pedicure and she kept asking me why not gel pedicure and I said no couple of times and I had to tell her I know she understood English very well so stop asking me the same questions over and over, then when I came home I found out that the owners were arrested for animal cruelty and I believe it because they are very rude and mean people, it's disgusting!!!!!!!
