Nail Bar NOLA - Canal Place in New Orleans, LA

They were great for my wedding manicure! They took good care of my fiancé also. Champagne was a plus.

Came here a couple weeks ago with 2 friends for gel manis + regular pedis the day before one of my friend's wedding.

Service was a bit rude (or at the very least, quite odd). Our appointment was at 10AM (when they open) and at around 10:05AM, as I was looking for the nail place in the mall, they called me and said "you didn't show up for your appointment". I found this off putting as I was onsite and just looking for the shop, as we'd never been to that mall before. Once we got into the shop, one of my friends was waiting for a while to get worked on, even though when I called to make the appointment, I was assured that we'd all be worked on at the same time. I also asked one of the employees the additional cost associated with getting designs done (tortoise shell nails) and she answered the question quickly and then turned and walked away so fast I couldn't even ask any follow up questions or show her the design that I wanted, which is the norm. Additionally, all the employees were talking loudly to each other throughout the service - we didn't really even talk to each other as friends (on the day before our close friend's wedding) because it felt like we were interrupting THEIR conversation. We also weren't offered anything other than water (which I wasn't even offered, I had to ask for it). All in all, it was not a very enjoyable or special experience service-wise.

This is not service related, but the seats are extremely far apart (around 10 feet I would say), so it wasn't easy for us 3 friends to chat while getting our pedicures, as it felt like we were screaming across the room to hear one another. I'm sure this is probably better for folks coming to get their nails done alone, but not good for a group of friends.

All of the above aside, the quality of my manicure was extremely low. This is a picture of my nails 10 days after getting the gel manicure - the polish on 2 of the nails chipped and the nail growth looks like it's been 3+ weeks since I got a manicure. For $70 for my gel mani + pedi, I'd expect much higher quality.

I would not recommend this location, especially for those looking for a relaxing experience and/or a high quality manicure.

I LOVE IT HERE! Took me 3 nail shops to find the best one. The service was 10/10, everyone was so sweet and attentive to my needs. I was serviced my Kirby and she did such an amazing job on my nails. Shaping amazing, application amazing, she was so attentive to the detail and cleanliness of my nails. I am forever indebted to her! I love it here and will recommend to anyone. They even squeezed me in this morning. Make sure to make an appointment if you plan on coming here, they are booked and busy. The salon was very clean and cute. Definitely worth the price point. I absolutely love this place. I came from out of town last night and desperately needed my nails done for an event. I walked-in and I was in and out in less than 2 hours. I got a classic pedicure and SNS mani. It's such a cute nail bar, comfortable and friendly service. The amount of color choices were just enough, not too many and not too little. The outcome was beautiful. I left telling my husband he might need to fly me here every 3 weeks lol
