There was NOTHING good about this experience. Generally I have a wide expectation of what COULD happen when going to a new nail spot but this was beyond anything.

Context: the place I usually go to, in Simsbury, has been working with me to build my nail strength back. I still get gel powder but my nails look LIGHT YEARS better now than a year ago. Underneath my nail is VERY sensitive and sometimes painful if a person is too aggressive with the snipping. Also, I have sensitive skin on my hands, overall, so an aggressive cuticle trimming is problematic. I mentioned this to Mary AT THE BEGINNING and she immediately launched into how weak my nails were and how ai should douse my nails in alcohol daily after I shower to make them stronger.

Ma'am, no.

She then cut my nails SUPER LOW, to the quick (I have 3 dogs so this my lexicon LOL), directed me to soak my fingers, cut MORE, and then WHILE MY NAILS WERE WET, began filing as the edge of the file kept rubbing up against the quick of my nail. I jerked my hand back several times and said, "Mary, please slow down. Remember I asked you to be a but more careful."

Mary did not care one bit.

Then came the cuticle torture. She snipped me at least three times and each time said, "Oh you're so sensitive" and it took everything in me to not just walk out after saying potentially rude things. Ma'am you are not cutting my cuticles with a dull knife, why are you being this aggressive and sloppy?

When the polish came out I thought the worst was over. Nope. Mart rushed thru the polish stage, gave me maybe 6 coats of polish, told me to stay under the UV light for like 5 minutes (each hand, obvi) and then she *wait for it* filed SOME MORE and this time the edge of the file almost gave me papercuts on the side of my nail.

And then, for the fourth time, she doused my hands in alcohol.

To top it all off, she then rubbed lotion into my hands - that still had neon colored nail dust on them and I'm Black so you can't NOT see that - and then took a towel out of the warmer and squeezed my hand with it immediately. Not a wave to cool it off or nothing. No consideration, just pressing a steamed towel directly onto hands that had been irritated and doused in alcohol. And what did Mary say when I said "Ouch!" Oh, you guessed it. "I forgot, you're so sensitive." NO MA'AM I JUST DO NOT ENJOY HAVING MY ALCOHOL IRRITATED OPEN WOUNDS AND HANDS SQUEEZED IN AN ALMOST BOILING HOT TOWEL.

I just. WOW! This place is an ENTIRE train wreck. Take the 20 minute drive to Simsbury and go to Deco Nails or Noella Day Spa. I have never had a bad experience with either of them.

This place is awful ... I have no words.  Place is filthy, workers are rude and strange ... shall I go on? I did get a dip becuz I was desperate but trust me, I only went here for convenience and I'll gladly go back to my regular place where they know how to treat customers and how to dips.

I just moved here from Florida and happened to stop in to the first nail salon I saw because I needed a pedicure in addition to getting my nails done. I only got as far as getting my feet done and it was so horrible that I declined even getting my toes polished because I knew I would need another pedicure. I also figured if the pedicure was UGH! then certainly the nails would be the same (chose not to find out) it was the worst pedicure I have ever had in my life. So bad that I figured writing a review will help them to do better..one can only hope.

10 min pedicure ..very pathetic and barely touched my nails ..also used disgusting old tools that were not washed or  cleaned. He simply placed them back in the tray. Sickening ..they need to shut this trash bin down for fear of spreading diseases and infections! Also, I've never in my life sat in a pedicure chair that didn't massage whatsoever ..just slightly vibrated. HORRIBLE !!!!!!!

This place was awful. It was covered in shellac and hardened Gel. I went in for a gel fill yesterday afternoon and have never been more frustrated with the finished product. The woman had no idea how to do gel nails and she was the only person in the entire salon. She rushed me through the entire process and I was in and out of the salon in about 20 minutes. If you get gel nails regularly you have gotten used to the normal process of a gel fill. This woman only put one coat of gel on top of my nails and then started to paint the actual color. She never filed the gel on the top of the nail and my nail beds are all uneven and wavy on top.   I explained to the woman how I wanted my nails shaped and she waited until after my top coat of clear gel was on to shape and file off the excess gel. When she painted the color and the clear gel, she painted over my cuticles and it is now all peeling off and hurting my nails if I don't file it off. The woman also tried to convince me to change my color the entire time because she doesn't like using the mood nail polish. This is the worst salon I have ever been to and I have been warning my friends of this place since I left this salon.
