I had made an appointment and then received a text asking if I could reschedule my appointment to a different day so that they could fit someone in my time slot. I had the appointment first, how dare they ask to move my appointment.
I had an amazing experience at Mojo Hair Bar! I was in town for a wedding and wanted to get my hair done. I walked in and was immediately greeted and felt right at home. Nicole did an amazing job and even went the extra mile for me! I cannot recommend the staff and salon enough!!
Unfortunately, I had a really terrible experience with Ariele. I was excited to try this place and I will never be returning. I asked for 1-2 inches off, wanting to keep my hair still chest length, and Ariele took at least 6 inches off. My hair is DRAMATICALLY (6 inches) shorter, and it's not at all what I asked for. And yes, I measured. I had even shown exactly where I wanted it to fall in front, and it's now at least 3 inches shorter than where I showed. Long story short, I've never had this happen to me before, and I'm extremely disappointed and shocked. Sure, hair grows back, but giving a dramatic haircut when it's not asked for is an unforgivable mistake. It's as if Ariele didn't listen to my wants at all and just chopped away as she pleased. I will never be returning and I've never had a hairdresser mess up my cut so terribly before.
It's been difficult to find a salon that I could feel comfortable and heard in. I've colored my hair but needed a stylist who could work with fine, straight and very short hair. Beck was able to accommodate my request for a next day slot and turned out to be the best I've encountered in Lynchburg. The team is very collaborative and creative here at Mojo Bar. If you are looking for a small, intimate and highly congenial setting, try this salon. You will walk out with a stylish hair look and a few new friends. Love love love Beck and the Mojo hair Bar!!
I've been coming to Mojo since right before the pandemic and have continued to drive to LYH from Charlotte and Raleigh because it is just that worth it! While I see Nicole, everyone in the salon is so skilled that I'd trust any of them to do my hair. You can't go wrong with their expert opinions, amazingly high quality products and you'll never leave disappointed because they put their everything into each client that comes through the door!!
