Was the absolute best salon experience I have had in years. The environment was warm and welcoming. Malikah was awesome. I loved the family atmosphere from her and the other clients in there. Malikah is professional and knowledgeable about various hair types and conditions. Has products to suit your individual hair needs. My hair consult consisted of education: current condition, color, products, aftercare; and for me, turned into a hair care regime that I'm looking forward too! Salon has a relaxed, inviting, and friendly atmosphere. Macy, her assistant is polite and gives an awesome scalp massage. I highly recommend Malikah's Mixed Heritage Salon. Clients also appear friendly. Therefore, Malikah's personality attracts like-minded clientele. This is comforting. All good here, even the music--not too loud, upbeat without cussing. Come once, come twice, thrice, and on and on. Her recommended products for my natural hair has my hair lite and flowing. She chose the right products for my hair type. Well pleased!!

Black owned business with a friendly vibe and hospitality. She is very business savvy and I've seen her work. She works very well with different hair textures. She provides a very welcoming vibe to establish a good relationship with her customers. First off the salon is in a boutique that holds different salons. At this time, you must call before making your appointment and once you arrive, there is a call in device that will notify the stylist to come to the door and greet you for safety purposes. I definitely plan on getting my eyebrows done soon lol.

I just went and got my Hair done today at Mixed Hairitage salon. I have to say that I truly enjoyed my experience. The salon was clean and very welcoming. Malikha made me feel right at home. I've been meaning to review this place for months!! Honestly, if I could give her 10 stars, I would! I have thick hair that stylists always have difficulty with. I found Mixed Hairitage on Groupon & since I was new to the area (& the price was great), I purchased it. The owner is lovely -- friendly, professional & just plain old nice (no awkward silences on this visit! We were chatting up a storm!) Despite the talking, she still managed to do an impeccable job! She made my hair look GOOD for the first time in my life! It looked great straight or even when I let it dry naturally (very atypical for me). I'm a Chicago transplant, so maybe my hair just agrees better with the VA weather (though if anything I'd think the humidity would have the opposite effect). I'm actually getting my next haircut at a different salon (those groupons get me!) as I'm curious to see if Mixed Hairitage is really the miracle I think it is, but I'll definitely be coming back!! She also did highlights & while there was one spot underneath where she missed a spot, honestly I didn't even care -- the highlights were so well spaced & natural looking! DEFINITELY give this place a try!! She is a hair wizard! (I'm trying to post pics, but can't seem to on my phone -- I'll try to update later)
