Millennium Nails in Bronx, NY

The first time I came here it was to get a filling since my normal salon was closed. The filling looked terrible. I could see my old acrylic under the name, it was just bad. I painted over it myself when I got home which is why I ended up liking it. Now recently I went since my shop was full. I asked for an acrylic set which is $20 (nice right? Wrong) The only thing I like about my nails is the color which I chose. Other than that this is probably the worst set of acrylics I have ever received. The acrylic itself is layered on extremely thick like why? The gel was an addition $15. So $35 for a set of nails that don't even look nice for the bare minimum. I can't even say you get what you paid for since there's other places that charge the same and you can get a least decent nails done. Even filing down the nail myself cant do any justice for these nails. I'm just so disappointed.

I've been here twice and the first time I questioned their hygiene and thought perhaps I'm being paranoid BUT 2nd time I'm disgusted. They are not sanitary. The lady doing my pedicure used the took on me to cut cuticles and just put it back in bucket and then another one of the technicians shortly borrowed it without disinfecting. Once I removed the acrylic nails I got done here my pinky and my thumb had a yellow fungus spot !! I have never gotten this before and it took about 1 month for me to get rid of it. Price is extremely cheap but you get what you pay for. The work was thick, I was asked to get up while they did a quick job on one of their usual customers and they had me waiting 30 minutes while this customer finished. Mind you I had already been waiting before this, she started on one nail and then asked this . When I asked the technician if she disinfected the tool she gave me attitude and said yes and mumbled to their co worker . Clearly they don't and I'm so grossed out and scared to have almost lost my nails- never going back.

I paid to have my nails wrapped and they look poorly done. The acrylic on my nails is beginning to rise just after the next day. My nails look like it's been on for over two weeks and I need a fill-in. I'm very disappointed. I will not be going back.

Crazy affordable prices and the nail techs are great there and offer good advice for what look would go great with you if you're unsure. I especially love having my nails done by Lin who sits by the front- the rest of the workers are pretty good too. Warning- Gel nails may be slightly more thick than usual, however, it is not an inconvenience and lasts pretty long (just dont pick at it!!). I also recommend waxing here!

Just realized I've lived in the Bronx for 3 years and I've never gotten a pedicure here! I visit my family in Texas occasionally and usually get them done there. I was surprised to see how much cheaper it is in ny! The girl really took her time with the pedicure and was really friendly! I was seen right away too! I would definitely come back! Just remember cash only.
