It's true they do speak trash on other people in front of them. Next time I will be placing a recorder in place and ask for consent to record then translate it later on with my Vietnamese friend.

AVOID AT ALL COST! RACIIST DISCRIMINATION AND INSULTING DISABLED, ILL CLIENTS TO THEIR FACES!

This salon is an absolute joke. Yes, it looks very pretty, but that's it.
Nothing else is pretty. Especially the way the owners and ther employees treat their clients. Worst salon I've ever been to. Traumatized my dying best friend.

I'm from Chicago. I speak ffluent Vietnamese (it is my first language), however I do not have a Vietnamese accent. My family owns 3 successful salons in Illinois.

I came to MO to visit sick friend (We'll call her G) We wanted to get our nails done. This would be the first time Ghas gone to a nail salon in years, due to her severe illness, and high anxiety.G was so excited. She put on a cute outfit and beautiful glittery eyeshadow, first time in a long time.

The salon was quite full. They were speaking Vietnamese. We will call her G. They were talking about how much they could get out of us. We showed them photos of what we wanted. One extremely rude nail tech sat G the first desk, just a couple feet away from where the tech taking care of me was trying to find the colors that matched the photo.

I am less than 5 feet away from G, tech started to work on her nails, they started speaking in Vietnamese. I can quite this accurately with 100% confidence this is what she said, because it's been months and I still cannot get that moment out of my mind.

This is what was said, translated to English:
        FRIENDS' TECH: " This girl is high or on drugs. Look at her she looks so drunk. What is wrong with her? So embarrassing"
         MY TECH: (me, hearing that and still standing 5 feet away) my tech goes, "This one too., (Referring to me). Look at their faces they're so drunk."

Quote, unquote. I will never be able to rid hearing that sentence from my mind for the rest of my life. I texted G about the insults they were throwing at us, right in front of our own faces. I kept my poker face. G cannot. Her extreme anxiety led her to run to the bathroom crying. I chased after her. I asked for the manager. Other staff tried to say he wasn't here. But he was. He was on his cellphone talking to someone, refusing to end the call and deal with this situation that his employee caused. I simply told him we are leaving.

G grabbed her backpack and ran out. As I walked out, I turned around and said (again, exactly) , "What you just did to my friend is complete unacceptable. You do not insult your clients in front of their faces. My friend is NOT drunk, she is NOT high, she has severe, debilitating life limiting illness, and is due for major surgery in the upcoming weeks".

I then proceeded to adress all of the other clients in the salon, particularly these 2 women getting a pedicure. I told everyone what their racist techs said about them.

As I was leaving, a male comes up to me and says I'm very broken English, "Uh I don uh I don think you acsually speak Vietnamese and you lyring to everyone"
How I responded? In perfectl, fluent Viet I said, " Oh, you don't think I speak Viet? You think I didn't hear every you guys said? I am speaking Viet, right? Do you understand me??"

He accused me of lying about speaking Viet when they got caught.  2 nail techs were behind him, still speaking in Vietnamese, "Close your mouth just let them leave they're drunk you can't argue". I replayed what they said to everyone in the store in English. I left to find G.

I stopped in from out of town and they squeezed me in.  The manager was incredibly professional and kind to everyone who walked in.  There were many regulars there and my nail tech was quiet, but took all the extra steps to make sure my nails looked great.  So fortunate I chose to stop here!

The best part of my experience was the young man who was hosting the front desk, he was very kind and helpful. My nail tech was very unfriendly and cold. I have never been here before and will not be returning. I am grateful that my nails turned out well. Maybe it was just an off day. This review is based on customer service .
