MCV Salon in Sun Prairie, WI

I brought my daughters to this salon when they lived at home. My hairdresser retired so I thought of this salon and made an appointment for a cut and then I came in for highlights. I then made an appointment 6 weeks out. I received a call from the salon a week before my appointment asking if I could come in a half hour later. This was inconvenient but I agreed to come in as they asked. I walked in 25 minutes after my original appointment and the receptionist said I was too late and that I couldn't get my haircut that evening. Now I waited six weeks for this appointment, and I was on time as they asked me to come in 30 minutes later. They refused to cut my hair. I was shocked that they would treat a customer that way after THEY asked me to come later AND I was on time!! Now I need to find a hairdresser to cut my hair within the next week. I wouldn't waste my time nor money at this salon. You might be bumped from your appointment after scheduling it many weeks in advance. I made it clear they lost a customer.

The dedication to customer service along with the level of talent explains why MCV salon has been part of this community for 20+ years! As most businesses are currently struggling with staffing; the owner of MCV herself chose to stay open late (2 hours past closing) to accommodate my work schedule so I could get my hair done prior to my Godson's wedding. I was impressed that Lindsey still took her time and completed my services with a level of professionalism and precision that I have never encountered in my past. Lindsey, your salon exemplifies exceeding expectations! You have a customer for life.

I've been going to MCV Salon for over a decade and every stylist I've had here has been great! I always leave happy! This time I got a cut and style from Melissa who was wonderful! She was so fun to talk to! This was my first haircut I've had in 18 months (thanks COVID) and she didn't even bat an eye at my gnarly hair. I have to say this was the BEST blow out I've gotten in a VERY long time, I left the salon and was FEELIN MASELF all day long! All thanks to Miss Melissa! Of course I have no clue how she made me look so amazing so I've decided I will be putting her on retainer because who doesn't want to feel like a 10/10 every day?! Thanks Melissa! I scheduled an appointment with Kristina, a level 3 stylist and was highly impressed with my haircut. Appointments are easy to schedule and the staff is very friendly. I asked for a trim on my inverted bob and my stylist went above and beyond my expectations. She made suggestions, asked how I styled my hair, and gave great advice about products. I had the scalp treatment added on to my haircut for $20 - the purpose was to detox my scalp of buildup and it was amazing. In addition, I received a nice hand massage after hair washing and she politely asked to test a new eyebrow pencil on me. We talked went over a color consultation and Kristina is highly knowledgeable about her work. I haven't dyed my hair probably 2+ years so I was unsure about what to do with my dark hair. We looked over Pinterest pictures and techniques (bayalage, highlights, low lights, etc.) I will be returning to her as my stylist and for my future color appointment. Walked out as a very satisfied customer with a fresh cut and Aveda samples. Can't wait to see how my color will turn out next! Great customer service and awesome salon vibe.

had to reschedule my October appointment. couldn't get me in until December, then I called beginning of December to verify appointment and they couldn't "find record of any appointment made", now couldn't get me in until January. I understand this is the busy season for appointments, but not even an apology was given.
