I am a student in Kalamazoo who struggled to find a good hairstylist in this area. I needed a cut and color super bad and my biggest worry is not spending a ton of money but still getting quality work. I was recommended to Reuben here at McIntyres and he was AMAZING! He walked me through what he felt was best for my hair and together we decided to go dark and at the end he would give me a nice layered cut! It turned out so nice and I am so happy with it, and I didn't break the bank! He is a newer stylist at McIntyre but for any Chicago girlies, he trained with Mario Tricoci, so you probably already know he's awesome at what he does. Highly recommend!!
I can't say enough about the awesome hair cut and color I got today! Lori Doorlag took me from feeling old and frumpy to ten years younger in two hours. I went in knowing that I wanted to "lighten up" with color and add some texture and layers to my hair, but beyond that, I wasn't sure just how much color or even what color. Lori guided me through the process, suggesting full highlights and the colors she chose were spot on! I've never had a stylist really explain to me a little of the art and science that goes into coloring, and her taking the time to do this was really cool. She worked with me on the haircut, too, and together we fleshed out a look for me that I absolutely love!! Lori was super polite and friendly, and I could tell my comfort and satisfaction were her top priority. I'll definitely be back in Lori's chair in a few weeks to have some more fun with color.
We walked in hoping to get a little boys haircut, but they were busy. They were so kind about it being last minute and made sure to get us in within the hour! Amazing job on hair cut and super friendly to little kids! Will be making it our regular salon!
