MasterCuts in Moline, IL

I highly recommend going somewhere else! went in there to get my son's hair trimmed up, he has long hair on top and shaved around the sides kind of like the hard part cut. my son told her he wanted and 1.5 guard on the sides and 3 in Long on top, apparently she thought he meant a 3-inch guard on top, I'm not sure. Anyway,The lady ended up shaving his entire head to look now like he might be entering the military. Left there sick to our stomachs, thank goodness hair grows back! Poor kid!

I came into the salon just for a hairstyle. I showed the hairstylist a picture of what I basically wanted for a hairstyle I needed for a wedding I was standing up in that day. It wasnt anything complex. I wanted simple long wavy curls. Basically how my hair naturally is just a little more dramatized. She put shirley temple tight barrel curls in my hair. It was too late for me to say anything since I was faced away from the mirror and there weren't any mirrors on the other side of the room for me to see. I pulled up the picture again to compare and she explained that the curls I wanted were wand curls she didn't have the straightener for. She then proceeded to conclude (after unsuccessfully attempting to correct her mistake and burning my ear with the curler) that the girl in the picture used hot rollers instead. Then finally she said the girl was wearing a hair piece. Had I known she wasn't capable of somewhat duplicating the hairstyle, I would have gladly waited for a more experienced stylist. The hairstylist finally called a manager over to help her fix the mistake. After I was somewhat satisfied, I said it was ok knowing I would be able to go back to my hotel room to fix it. I ended up apologizing to the stylist for being difficult. I was charged $35 for a hairstyle and even gave a $7 tip for something I basically could have done at home. Very dissatisfied and I wasn't even offered a partial discount. I was near tears after seeing what the stylist initially did to my hair. She also coughed in my hair a couple times and sat down in another chair to finish the job. This is the worst experience I have ever had at any kind of hair salon. I'm a non-confrontational person and just wanted to leave the salon. I ended up running to Target to pick up some hair product to fix the curls. Luckily I'm from Chicago and there isn't a chain located near me that I know of. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I would have rated 0 stars if I could have.

Very nice and respectable people who work there! Far as experience goes to precision cutting, over rated , stylists need more experience in techniques of hair cutting to the profession they are in!

I'll write a review of Master Cuts, Moline,Il ( Southpark Mall)!!!! We will NEVER go back there!!! We were told to come back in 10 min....we did, only to be told there was a wax ahead of us. We looked at the schedule and we were NEXT....there was no one ahead of us!!! What kind of business tactic is that!! NEVER, NEVER go there.
