I visited SF for the weekend and had the most wonderful experience at Maiden Lane. I went to their new location and enjoyed getting my nails, hair and make-up done for a special evening out with my husband. Everyone treated me so kindly and did everything to ensure that I was happy with their service. May nails were absolutely beautiful! My manicure lasted two weeks and my pedicure lasted over three weeks! Damian did my hair and let me just tell you that he needs a paragraph on this review all for himself. I have never met a stylist that knew as much about curly hair as Damian. My hair is loose, curly and frizzy! Not to mention many different lengths after having children. He gave me the most amazing cut and style ever. It looked so beautiful for two days! He knew how to shape my locks and I was amazed that my hair continued to look great even as I styled it on my own afterward. I was so grateful for him that I contemplated how to get back to SF just to have him for my stylist. The beautician that did my make-up was thoughtful and attentive to my style and taste. She took my ideas and married them with her talent in such a lovely way. When I left, I felt like Hollywood. And my husband, well I wish I could tell you more about that night... The only two pleasures that were left unsatisfied were my desire for dark chocolate and Tulsi tea in the afternoon and relaxing music. But next time, I will bring my own. I loved Maiden Lane. The staff was everything.

I followed Damian here from the last salon he worked at. I am a big fan of the Brazilian Blowout, and this guy KNOWS what he is doing. He takes the necessary time to make sure everything is done correctly, and makes you feel right at home while doing so. I was relieved that I was able to "stalk" him on Facebook so that I could follow him to this salon. Great location! I could have done without the screaming child that was getting his hair cut- I wonder why a nice, clean, hip salon like this would allow that, it was quite obnoxious. Take your damn kid to Supercuts. Besides that, NO complaints. I will be back again to see Damian for sure.

Jun is simply amazing. The Japanese straightening is worth the five plus hours and many $$ it takes. My frizzball mop is tamed and maintained for six months if I wait that long after the Japanese straightening and cut and style. He is meticulous and the process litterally weatherproofs my hair from the humidity and the rain. Cuts my blowdry time from 1 hour plus to mere minutes! He and his wife are very sweet too!

After 6 months of trying to find a stylist in San Francisco who knows how to handle African American hair, I found Mr. Terry. I really was starting to lose hope of ever finding someone within the city who could keep my hair looking healthy, be on time for appointments, handle our relationship professionally, and make me feel like they really want to impress me enough that I'd want to come back. Mr. Terry was professional and on time; and best of all my hair looks AMAZING! He started off with a thorough consultation and discussed options with me. He gave me his professional opinion regarding the condition of my hair, and then let me decide on a proposed treatment plan. I really couldn't be happier, and am so happy to have finally found a really great stylist. Thank you, Mr. Terry.
