Magic Nails in Waterford, CT

My friends and I waited to get to get our nails, as they take walk ins. The first thing we noticed were the obviously old nail polish containers on the shelves. We found out that only one (out of the two) people working was able to do acrylic nails. We were told to come back in an hour when she was available. We followed suit, but when we came back she was doing someone else's nails and we were told that they would be able to do one of our nails when she was done with the other person. My friend and I left, after deciding to get food instead of waiting a ridiculously long time for $30 dollar nails from unprofessional people. Our friend got hers done, and met us 30 minutes later hiding her hands under her sleeves. She showed us and we were appalled. They looked unfinished, with peeling and lumps and paint spots on her hand. They then proceeded to tell her that it would cost her $40 instead. For your own sake, don't get your nails done here.

I asked for just a clear coat of regular old fashion nail polish. The man who did my manicure goes ahead and starts to apply gel. So I agree. He puts one coat of clear gel, no basecoat no topcoat, on my nails and then charges me full price of $35. They purposely took it advantage, overcharged me and when i question the owner she basically did not care. STAY AWAY!!

The place was clean but the girl that were shaping my nails wasn't very friendly and was unprofessional. The owner also wasnt that good at what she was doing either. My mom doesn't know anything about nails and I took her their for her bday. She got a French nail and it turned out horrible. Terrible painting. It was so overpriced too. They also had a lack of supplies so I couldn't get what I really wanted. The only good part is that I got a hand massage. It was uncomfortable there though, awkward silence.

I went with my friend for her birthday and came out very upset. They lady I had came out mad to start with she cut my cuticles and a little bit of skin and I started to bleed but I didn't want to be rude so I just sat there. My nails are lighter in some parts and I could tell the girl I had didn't want to be there. It has only been 3 days and 2 of the nails have come off and I got gel nails and the should last at least 2 weeks. This was by far the worst nail place I have ever gone to and I will never go again.
