Magic Beauty Salon in Pasadena, CA

This place is unprofessional and only good for basic haircuts; if you're looking for highlights, balayage, or root touch-ups, avoid coming here as they don't know how to color hair. On February 25, 2024, I went in to have blonde highlights put in my hair. However, as you can see from the pictures, Lucia did a terrible job; she left my base looking brown, black, and orange, and the highlights stopped short of the root. She and the owner tried to correct it, but the outcome was appalling and nothing like what I had asked for. I made the mistake of returning, They have not only ruined my hair, but also the hair of friends and relatives. The only reason I went back was because they tried to correct it, but the outcome was never nearly what I had asked for.

Do not come to this salon at all , my hair was super long to my waste. I told them to cut just 1 inch off of my hair & they later proceed to cut all the way to my mud back . I had an event to be at & I didn't want my hair short . It's super short where I can't even put my hair back because it eventually go to the front of my face. They do what they think is best she kept cutting me off when I was trying to tell her what I wanted. She was like I know what you want you don't need to tell me & the owner was even coming up to say that's not how she wanted it every time & she kept looking at me because she knew I wasn't going to like what she was doing , she ended up charging me $44 for a cut at the tips & a blow out . I use to be a regular customer but now they have new ladies & they did such a shitty job including the owner. Don't go here if you want all your hair chopped off really short .

The invasion of privacy is extreme, I understand business should take security measures but is not comfortable to have a camera listening to my private conversations with my hairdresser, I'm not the only client complaining about this, I also want to mention that they raised their prices more than three times already during the pandemic more than 50% on they hair services and products, customer service is not the best. I do not recommend this place at all and will call the Best Business Bureau to report the invasion of privacy , customer service and everything else. Do not waste your money here

Highly recommend this place! Isabel has been doing my highlights for the longest and she's very friendly and professional. I don't let just anyone cut or style my hair due to bad experiences.

I had my hair cut outside today it was great! I will be coming here now for my haircuts.
