Website needs a serious update. Gel manicure - $20 on website. Get to the store, they state gel is $38. Their website notes that pricing is for shellac (which is different than gel.) they refused to acknowledge my concern in the discrepancy of pricing and gaslight me into thinking I was miss rereading the pricing. they had already taken my hand and started a service before I could even say anything. Feeling very awkward and overwhelmed, I begrudgingly agreed to a "regular manicure" which let's be real, will chip in two seconds. Not to mention she just slapped on the polish in less than 10 min.
Well...after three visits I can 100% say I won't be coming back. First two were for pedi. Subpar at best. Today was for a mani. best way to describe it is SLOPPY!! I had an appt. online it says manicures take approx 30 mins. Tina was done in under 8 mins. she didn't cut my cuticles, or even push them back and missed cutting two nails. I asked for round tip I got a mixture of round and square. Polish was all over my fingers no clean up, nothing. I let her know how terrible they looked. another employee Sophia apologized and said they were too busy with a bridal party coming in?! And I could wait until they were done to have her fix them. Terrible business practice.
Quite disappointed at the mani I got last week. I don't get a mani very often (cause I'm pretty picky) but on this visit they decided to use the dremel tool on my nails and cuticles. I don't have fake nails, etc. and in our MN winters my fingers and skin can be pretty dry. I've never seen someone use this tool on peoples cuticles. While they used this tool my cuticle began to bleed no sense of urgency when that happened. Also 2 days afterwards my cuticles on other fingers are more irritated and a little red. I also felt like it was completely rushed and my mani was done in 20 mins...when other places take 30+ mins. The color looks a bit sloppy and my cuticles look worse than they were prior to the mani. Will be trying another nail place in the future.
They had lots of staff on duty and it was great for us as walk in customers. Our grand daughter loved the experience and they are kid friendly.
This salon would received zero stars if it was an option. Today we had the worst consumer experience ever at Luxory Nails. The staff was rude, impatient, and one tech was actually mean to my Daughter. My Daughter was getting a pedicure and her nail tech was actually causing her pain and getting frustrated when she asked her to stop. She used the dremel and burned my Daughters finger nails. My Daughter was given a bowl of acetone and cotton balls and told you take off her own dip nails. I decided the shop was not going to do her nails after this and they tried to charge me for my Daughter taking off HER OWN nails. The nail tech was so rude and awful to my Daughter for no reason. When she was done with her pedicure she didn't even tell my Daughter she was finished and just walked away. She quickly came back looking for money from her though. Whoever owns this shop should be ashamed of this employee. The Manager answering the phones at station 1 was also extremely rude. I took my Daughter to a shop up the road and we had a wonderful experience. They were in shock at how they left my Daughters nails. Do not waste your money here!!!!
