No one deserves to be abused this way, let alone a paying customer. While Koi is indeed talented, it's only if he is not in a hurry, in good mood or getting his ego stroked. My mother has been going to him for over 20 years and knows the score. She made the mistake of questioning him and telling him her nails were not dry yet. He rushed her out, charged her extra, and in front of entire shop erased her name from appointment book and told her not to come back. The pictures below show the quality of the service. She is 87 years old and came to our door shaking and near tears. He's lucky I didn't call the police.
It's very unfortunate that I'm posting a 2 star review since I have been going to this place for years. I also do my pedicures there and even being my husband sometimes. As of today, however, I am never coming back. I started coming to Luxury nails a few years ago because it was convenient with walk ins and the service was pretty good. I typically do acrylics with a design on 1 finger and it was good enough. I'm not an incredibly picky person. I gradually started to back away from going there because when it was bought over, the started relying on appointments. I noticed more shortcuts being taken ( i.e no base and topcoats) i found that the nails started to lift and would pop off. The acrylics were also done quickly which were causing them to be incredibly thick. The staff was the same so being bought over was pretty irrelevant. I Utimately went to different salon to remove them because of how thick they got. After 2 months of me using a different salon and converting from acrylics to just regular shellacs i decided to call to see if there was availability. The conversation on the phone. Me" Do you have time for a dip removal and a regular shellac today?" The old owner in annoyed tone "what time?" Me " what time is open?" The old owner " what time do YOU want to come in?" Me thinking now but thinking what a good time is. "Um, i think.." ( this though process and pause was about 10 seconds) The old owner CUTTING ME OFF in his continued annoyed tone " im very busy and i dont have time for this. Call back when you know when you want to come in. " hangs up on me. I called obviously asking what time is best for them. If my response was "now " which honestly would have been my preference, they wouldn't have had time. Im giving them a 2 because the work they did is decent. Not perfect by any means but i have loved many sets through the years and less than loved many others. It was bad enough for me to seek another salon but good enough for me to try again. I dropped a star because that is not how you handle your clients. I don't think he knew it was me their regular for the past few years ( they know me well) on the phone, but i think that's even worse. Do better.
This was my go to nail salon for over 10 years! Once the owner sold the place last year, the service and everything that made it special went out the door. All of the long time nail techs left and the new owner doesn't have a clue about running a nail salon.

Rude rude rude... I am beyond shocked at how they treated my almost 4 year old and right in front of me. She has gone many times to salons with me and got pedicures and always been treated like a human but they treated her like a dog...LITERLLY. Yes they have her a cookie, without asking me first, and a small bottle of water upon entry but then just ignored her the entire time. ON TOP OF THIS...the place is dirty. Filthy. The chairs are sticky and the massage chair pintches your skin. They don't line the pedicure tub with anything. The massage lasted 2 minutes....I've been getting pedicures for 20 years...THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
