Luxe Nails & Spa in Seabrook, NH

This was my first time trying this salon but have had my nails done for years. There were so many issues I finally gave up just to get out of there. I wanted short, acrylic nails with a solid color. I was specific about shape and thickness. The nail tech had different shapes on different nails and when asked to make them look like the one nail shape that I wanted she only did one more nail in that shape? After several tries to get what I asked for with no results I wanted to just leave but if you're mid-acrylics it's pretty impossible. She went on to cut my skin with the drill in two places and told me it was because my nails are thin, which they are but my skin isn't thin so it definitely doesn't make any sense! I asked for thin nails and they came out uneven, different shapes and thick. Toward the end, she pulled out dirty cuticle cutters from her personal makeup bag and tried to cut off all the excess acrylic that should have been removed with the fine finishing drill. I told her my nail hurt and she kept on trying to cut it. I asked for "natural" looking acrylic nails and they look like big, round bubbles on my fingers with bleeding skin and chunks of red cuticle skin all around them. You can also see where the fake nail was glued on which I have never seen in the past. They are a complete mess and I'm now looking for a reputable salon to soak them off and try again if I don't get a terrible infection from the unsanitary, dirty instruments from the makeup bag. I chose this place based on very good reviews. I'm questioning how valid those reviews can be now. Also, when I called to make an appointment I was quoted 55.00 for a full set. When I checked out, she said I had to pay extra for using a card and only wanted a cash tip but that was never mentioned when I asked the price when making the appointment. That is a sure sign something isn't right with the pricing either. This was an epic nail fail.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but I'd honestly say, don't choose this nail salon. I haven't gotten my nails done in along time but I remember good service and what I got yesterday wasn't that.

First, they rush you to pick your color. Then they bring you to a room packed with tables and people. Everything felt cramped. I got acrylic nails from beginning to end I was never asked to wash my hands which was odd. I had gel polished dried all over my fingers. The acrylic was uneven and WAY to thick. The worst part!! My cuticles were all cut up! When I checked out my hands felt so dirty and gross.
By bedtime my fingers were throbbing. By morning they hurt.

I'm not going there again, I'll find somewhere else.

-Tips too small (should cover side-side for support)
-Underneath catching not filed down completely and product left underneath nail
-Product was still left on skin which caused irritation
-Product chunky on some nail beds- uneven application
-Nail walls not smooth and catching

Tech Professionalism
ISo I originally asked for dip on real nails but was told my length is uneven and tips with acrylic would make my "nail beds not so fat." i asked about the nails free edge being crooked and was told they know what they're doing i felt uncomfortable after speaking up (i fixed them when i got home). I tried to make conversation and mentioned I was going away and wanted these to last. They would rather talk to another client- and did a few times. They (Anthony) did not seam to like me from the start and didn't offer conversation (that's ok). Person seamed to be on the phone as an airpod was in the ear and they were talking to themselves or whoever was listening on the phone. Then they complained about being here later than they were supposed to and working 7 days a week. To then they made a phone call and say they were going to be late (they asked if that was ok) Then there was a phone call for an apt about guy and girl getting full sets and the nail tech was asking how and why would the guy get full set.

Originally asked for dip but was told this would look nicer and skinnier.. was not expecting for natural nails to be showing so I know these won't last long and hideous grow out. The nail tips being too small will also hurt from lack of support.

This was 60$ not including the tip. Due to lack of coverage on the sidewalls there's plenty of room for water to get in and under the nail leading to possible fungus infection causing a "green nail". Will be getting thess removed asap.

My nails did not even last a week and from him using smaller tips on and my nails they hurt!

Awesome!  I've been looking for a great nail salon since I moved to New Hampshire and this place is my favorite so far!  They are professional, clean, courteous, and an excellent value.  I will definitely be back!  Well worth the 20+ minute drive for me -- besides it's located in a great area to schedule errands.

If you plan on getting acrylics do NOT come here. Got an acrylic set here and then went to my trusted nail girl back in RI a few weeks later and as she was trying to soak off the acrylic she said that whoever did my nails used an acrylic that is illegal in over 30 states, including NH, because it is known to cause permanent nail loss, finger deformities, severe inflammation, etc. If you would like to learn more search 'methyl methacrylate (MMA)'.
