Luxe Looks Hair Salon LLC in Capitol Heights, MD

I'm a new client to this salon.I called and made an appointment with Rhonda to get my hair done three days in advance with the receptionist. I get there and the stylist says "We didn't confirm anything." So of course I'm pissed. (I didn't know you had to keep calling everyday until you speak with the stylist What's the point of the receptionist scheduling appointments?! Why didn't the stylist confirm the appointment or say she already had someone booked?!) She stares at me with the ‍ face; then says "can you come back? I have to finish this person and there is another person waiting." What?! So on top of you not honoring my appointment you gonna still put two people in front of me and I'm standing right here? Bet. Luxe Looks doesn't have to worry about my business coming there and I will make sure everyone I know, knows about their unprofessionalism. This is not what I wanted to go thru during my birthday weekend.... this was my first and last trip here.

Two years after my "Big Chop", and I'd become anxious to add some color to my hair! Decided to scout some salons, and happened upon Luxe Looks. Luckily, Michelle--the owner, was able to take me the same day! I arrived and was warmly greeted by Michelle herself. She began not long after I arrived, and when she was finished (in record time, I might add!), I was ecstatic! My highlights came out EXACTLY like I wanted! My finished style was bouncy and my hair looked/felt healthy. I'll definitely be back!

Last month, after reading rave reviews for Michelle, I called Luxe Looks to make an appointment with her on a Saturday for a short natural cut with color. I'd been wearing my hair in long twists for literally years, so this was a BIG, emotional decision for me. Michelle conveyed that she had absolutely no spots available on Saturday for new clients. I was a little discouraged, but she recommended that I make an appointment with her colleague, Iris. Iris was warm and personable. She asked me to text her a picture of the cut when I made the appointment. When I showed up the following Saturday, she has about four clients she was working on, so I wasn't exactly in-and-out, but all of them left looking really good and when they learned it was my first appointment with Iris, they were very supportive and all indicated she'd been doing their hair for years. Iris ended up cutting off 14 inches of my hair. I could see that the cut and color were superbly done, but I wasn't sure I'd done the right thing. However, after I went back to work on Monday the verdict was in--everybody LOVED the style. I called Iris to tell her as much and thanked her for successfully helping me re-invent my look!

I loved my experience there at the salon, the stylist Michelle was very sweet and she took her time doing my hair. I recommend any one to go to her she does a fine job.
