Nancy gives a haircut like no one else I've been to! She is able to cut in such a way that the cut/style still looks good at the 12 week mark, which is how often I go in for trims. Color (balayage) gets done only twice a year!! Definitely worth the expense , plus she is a super cool chick!

Have been here a few times over the years. I live near by so I thought I'd try them again. Booked an appointment online and then get a text saying I need to pay an additional $37 for a 15 min consultation prior since I'm new. It's been a year or so but I am not new. No waiving the fee or offering anything else so I just said cancel the appointment. So instead of making $200 off me, they got nothing. Seems like a poor business practice and terrible customer service.

Colby made me feel ugly every time I saw her. If I picked out a haircut I liked, she would stress that it wouldn't look good on me because I didn't look like the person in the photo. Once, another customer even jumped in to defend me, telling Colby not to talk that way to me.

Colby also spent the bulk of one of my cuts complaining to the owner about the fact that the other stylists thought she was "a bitch." She wasn't focused on my cut at all.

I haven't seen Colby for years but am writing this today because I still look in the mirror and feel ugly thanks to her.

I'm going to begin this review by saying, I don't get my haircut often. Sometimes it's hard for me to justify how expensive a woman's haircut can be, so I never regularly get it cut at a salon, usually just have a pal trim it up and call it a day (I know I'm lucky to have hair that is easy).

That being said, I haven't gotten my hair cut in 2 years. I finally decided to get it cut and to go somewhere. I asked around and received many recommendations but after looking at each website to compare prices, Lumine Salon had a price I was all about $25 for a student to cut my hair. Since I'm ok with friends cutting my hair with kitchen scissors, I figured a student would be much better than that!

I'm SO GLAD I chose to come here. Yes, a student cut my hair, but the owner of the salon was there to ensure I got a great haircut. She made sure the stylist was using the right kind of products for my hair, checking to make sure everything was even, gave advice on what would fit my face well. The stylist and the owner were fun and professional and just took really great care of me.
I could tell they really love and take pride in the work they do, and they want to do it really well.

I'm sold on this place and will be regularly coming back. The service and final product have turned me from "I hate how much I have to pay, it's not worth it, I don't Care what my hair looks like" to "I can't wait to spend my money here and do it again".

ALSO, adding this: they were so cautious and hygienic. I was asked to sanitize or wash my hands upon arrival, everyone wore masks, there was plexiglass in between every station, everything was cleaned after use. 10/10 on Covid cautiousness.

I absolutely love Lumine and my stylist Erin!! She has given me the best haircuts I've had in years--and saved me from a very rough pixie grow out cut from a different place. I even had a complete stranger comment on how I must pay hundreds of dollars for my haircut because ein looked so good (spoiler: I don't). Though Lumine is more expensive than some places, my stylist always works with me to create a hair cut schedule to meet my budget, mixing express cuts with full wash/cut/style appointments. When I was interested in low maintenance color, she had several suggestions to get a great look without having to touch up each time I come in. Highly recommend.
