LKJ Hair Salon Federal Way in Federal Way, WA

They are so bad at cutting their hair. Don't even ask. The side hair is not balanced at all. I absolutely do not recommend this place to others.

I am a real customer and I'm posting this so people know what to expect. I went in for a balayage which includes hair wash and hair cut. I paid before the service ($550). The lady at the counter was responsible for washing my hair. She was 'beating' my hair and head, literally and combed it aggressively while drying my hair. I had mentioned it a few times to her and every time she replied with a light laugh and no words. The physical abuse was unbearable so I finally decided to talk to the manager. He then took over the service and forgot about my haircut. I reminded him and he still did not 'complete' the hair cut, which was very unprofessional. I personally feel very disrespected and neglected. If anyone is okay with getting their hair 'beaten up' and receiving an unprofessional service, LKJ is the place.

I went to LKJ to fix a haircut done at a different salon. The horrible haircut done at the Tacoma salon was causing me a huge deal of stress every time I looked at the mirror (went there only because LKJ closes on Mondays and I needed to get it cut before going on a business trip). This guy stylist at LKJ was able to get it fixed to a point I am very pleased with. He makes it easy for me to blow dry my hair after wash and look the way I want. Totally happy and thankful!! I will absolutely be coming back and not going anywhere else!!

My husband has been coming here for years after a friend of ours suggested this place. The cuts he gets are consistently good . Highly recommend this place. We've told friends about it and they've been coming to this place for their boys' haircuts ever since.

Consistently great haircuts. I have been frequently this place since I arrived in Seattle 4 years ago, and I have never been disappointed with my cut. Part of that is that I've figured out while coming here what type of cut I liked and fit me (I initially tried a kpop style perm, coz why not), but I ended up going with a more of faux hawk style because it's so easy to maintain. Price is also super reasonable so I don't think you'll be disappointed. I would definitely call ahead for an appointment on the weekends. That being said, I'm helped by the fact my wife is Korean (I don't speak Korean unfortunately), so it helped a lot in building rapport early on, and it really helps in building a personal relationship with the folks here. If you speak Korean, you will find this place right at home. If you don't, definitely over-communicate, and bring some pictures of cuts you would like.
