I've been coming to this salon since I was a baby. The owner did my hair as a child. As I got older I branched out and used a few other hairdressers. In the 28 years that I've been going there I've never been so disrespected, not only to myself but also to my mother who went in a week after I was told they couldn't do my hair because I was a few minutes late. I drive over an hour to get there and they know this. I over tip my hairdresser because I am also in the industry. The front desk woman (whatever her name is with the cheap hair dye) called me to cancel as I was pulling into the parking lot and then proceeded to turn me away at the door. Regardless if I was late, they could have still offered some sort of compromise but instead I was told "too bad, you're late" even though every time you get to the hair salon at open they are always late. I would have let all of this go but my mother went in to get her hair done today, about a week later from my altercation. As she is sitting there getting her hair washed, she hears the front desk woman talking about me. She is telling other customers in the chairs that I have a mental illness, etc, etc. My mother overheard the entire thing and was disgusted by this woman's behavior. If you go to this salon, expect the women that work here to be rude, disrespectful and talk about you for weeks for their own self amusement. I will never be coming back here again.

If you want a basic trim for yourself or your child, this is the place to go. For anything past the bare minimum, I would go elsewhere. My first time here I called ahead to see if they take walk-ins (for my daughter). The person said "Yes, we do...but when do you want to come in? Do you want to make an appointment?" So we made an appointment for that afternoon. I brought my daughter in and they were friendly to her, then the owner and another stylist began chatting. The owner said " You know, I HATE when people call and ask if we take walk-ins. Of course we do." and seemed very annoyed by the whole ordeal of picking up the phone and answering the questions of potential customers. I didn't know if this was passive aggressively directed toward me or not, but I piped up, "Well, I did call and ask that exact question this morning. You came highly recommended by local moms and I wasn't sure how crowded you get during the week." She went on to tell me about the salon's history. I wouldn't have returned after that initial display of rudeness but they did a nice, basic cut for my daughter, the price was right and she was happy. I've gone back a couple of times but their blasé attitude didn't subside and has finally pushed me to another salon. They are a cash only business who have been around forever. They may be great to their loyal clients but they don't seem to be concerned with retaining new ones.

WORST experience NAME IS TERRI(stylist).. I probably ever had. First of all, the wash was terrible, she didnt even get the nape of my neck. She was only focused on the front,second of all she didnt WASH ALL the conditioner out of my hair. So now im sitting in her chair I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said okay I told her I need lots of layers because I dont have any volume and I need volume. She said okay no problem. She cut maybe the slightest layer and that was it. She started blowing out my hair with a PADDLE brush, like slamming it on my head , then she finally switched to a round brush.. she sections my hair in two sections and FAST dries it with the rounch brush. It's still damp then she takes the next section and does the same. Then without even asking me takes out her straightening iron and starts straightening it with smoke coming out of my hair because it wasn't dried. Worst experience ever. As soon as I stepped out of the salon I put my hair up. My hair was so sticky I felt so uncomfortable. Today unwashed it and the amount of conditioner that came out of my head was ridiculous. I tried blowing my hair out myself and I literally have no volume. My boyfriend said it doesnt even look like i got it cut. So disappointed. For someone who says they have been doing this for 30yeats has no idea how to even wash hair properly. I would put 0 stars if I could!!!!!!!

I've been coming to Little People since I was a kid, and would have serious trouble trusting any other salon with my hair. The staff have a wide range of knowledge and it's a warm and welcoming hair salon -- not edgy or stark like others I've been to for groupon manicures and such (nothing against them, I just prefer the chill family vibe that this place has!)

I guess you can say you get what you paid for. If you want to go home and feel good because your hair was cut, washed and styled, this is not your place. The owner's daughter AND the owner, twice let me walk out of there with so much conditioner left in the back of my hair that I had to go home and rewash it. I discovered this on my way home when I went to clip up my hair. First time I called and complained and was told to come back and they would rewash n blow it out. When I explained I was already half way home, I live 45 min away, I was told well I'm sorry but.... These are the owners. How can they not feel this? The last time I went, the owner colored my hair on Thursday, on Sunday my daughter said to me " mom, you need to do your roots "! Like I said, you get what you pay for. Will I call and complain? Nope. Been there done that got no where. You want good services? I would never recommend this place. Pay a little more and know you are going to get better quality service by stylists that stand behind their work.
