Came here for a haircut and I left with choppy layers with unevenness on each side. I had to stop her from cutting even more and thinning out my hair after the blowout because the curtain bangs i asked for were already too short. I'm going to have to go to another salon to fix this as she didn't even part my hair properly when she started cutting. I wish I listened to the 1 star reviews.
Okay haircut (great bangs, choppy layers) nasty service attitude, rough handling with hair, walk-ins prioritized over appointments. We arrived on time for an appointment made the day before only to be told that our appointment wasn't written down properly and that we had to wait, just a plain "sit down over there and wait till someone's free". I understand that humans make mistakes and nobody's perfect, but I expected there to be at least an apology-- didn't happen. I didn't get my turn until ~40 minutes after my appointment time, then a dude walked in in the middle of my haircut and lady doing my hair literally left me in my chair with bunch of pins in my half-trimmed hair to fix the new customer's hair. I was left in my seat for ANOTHER ~20 minutes. No explanation, no apology. I don't even know if he had an appointment, but even if he did, so did I, I don't see why he should be able to walk in and cut the line. Imagine your hairdresser leaving you in the middle of your haircut and don't even bother apologize. I paid to get a haircut, not to wait in line for an hour. Why even bother offer appointments if it's not going to mean anything? Lady seemed in a hurry, tugged and pulled on my hair super hard with the scissors. I've had hair of every length and gone to 15+ different salons, never had another hairdresser hurt my head SO much during a basic haircut, my scalp still ached the second day. Not to mention she's constantly getting distracted with phone calls and chitchat midst doing my hair. I think of the 2 hours I spent at this salon, only 20-25 minutes involved the actual process of the haircut. Everything else was waiting and waiting and wondering wtf is wrong with these people and why I made the cursed choice of choosing this salon. There were only 2 people (including the owner) in this tiny shop and one of them didn't seem to know what she was doing, looked like to me that the owner was the only one doing haircuts, severely understaffed. I've always avoided getting hair cuts since barbers around the area are unfamiliar with cutting Asian hair. Prices for haircuts have gone up a lot as well, so while looking for a place with affordable pricing, I found this salon. I've been a regular for almost a year now and I have always gotten the haircut I want. I wanted to post this review because I recently took my mom and younger brother here and they both loved it here as well. Excellent service and pricing.
