L & C Hair Salon in San Gabriel, CA

DO NOT GO TO THIS HAIR SALON! I came in and only asked for a trim! I had a ton of hair and it was perfectly healthy. It just wasn't brushed that day when I went in for a trim. I kid you not, she cut so much hair and especially in between in the back of my hair. I didn't ask for this, and only asked for a TRIM. She said she cut damaged hair! I didn't ask for it! Will never go back to this place again. I am really sad I lost lot of hair and only wanted a trim especially right before my big event.

Do not come to this place. Service sucks and the ladies don't speak English at all. We went in for a men haircut and waited for like an hour, when another dude came in and was seated promptly for his haircut (???????). We were not even acknowledged by them or any apologies so we left.

I came here twice with my cousins and I like it here. The lady is fast and friendly. She charged me $18 cause I had long hair, But I did cut like 5 inches so it is totally worth it for me! Will come back here soon.

Fast service and very clean and modern place. Very friendly. Inexpensive $25 for hair cut, shampoo, blow dry, and color. Not perfect all the time but overall, decent price and service. Appointments not needed but call ahead and she will tell you if there's a wait time. English is limited but comprehensible.

This is a long overdue review for this wonderful salon. I have been coming here for 4 years, and certainly the price can't be beat. $8 for a cut, and only $2 more for added wash, blow dry and styling. That's how I stumbled upon it in the first place. Yes, I am cheap. Given the slew of other discount barber shops the area, L&C really stands out well. It is clean and obviously renovated, but even more than its nice appearance and host of care products is the service. The sisters Cindy and Dina are more than just competent, and I have never walked away feeling bad about my haircut. Cindy, who definitely runs the show, is quicker and appears to do the more complicated work. Finally, the straight razor shave that comes with every cut really completes the polished look. They are also kid-friendly and have no problem taking care of children's needs. The only gripe I have is that it's not as well a kept secret as I would like it to be. The wait can be long on weekends, but it's never horrific (I have waited more than an hour without air-conditioning in other el-cheapo places). I just wish it was closer to where I live. I will be a continued frequent patron for the foreseeable future.
