Lily's Nail Salon & Spa in Wappingers Falls, NY

We had an awful experience today at Lily's. I used to go there regularly for manicures and pedicures, and felt they were trustworthy and professional. We moved across town, and about 6 years ago I began going elsewhere. Today, our regular salon was closed and my daughter needed her gel extensions removed and a regular manicure done in its place. I called, told the manager the service needed, and we went in at the specified time. We informed three employees, including the manager, that my teenager had gel extensions (not tips or acrylics). Two employees sat down in succession to begin the job. The first was immediately pulled away. The second looked at her nails and confirmed "gel powder" and began to pull cotton out to soak the nails in acetone. She then was pulled away to do a massage on another client. The manager sat down to begin the removal, mumbled something to my daughter, and began filing aggressively at her pinky with a card. Before we could stop him, he had removed the gel extension, along with half her natural nail. She was crying from the pain, and was bleeding. He claims he thought they were acrylics, although he and two other employees were told they were gel extensions. The confusion and incompetence were profound. He apologized, admitted fault, offered us $300 in gift certificates or $300 in cash to make up for it, and to pay for any medical bills. I declined the former two, and informed him he should hope we don't have any medical bills associated with his negligence. He should not be offering professional manicure services, let alone managing a salon. I would not step foot in Lily's nails again for any service and I would urge others to avoid it at all costs.

HORRIBLE PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!!!!! About 6 months ago i had gotten nail fungus under my acrylics, so i waited a couple months and it went away. So i decided to give them another try a few months later. 3 times within the past month me my mother and aunt all got fungus under our nails from this place. They do not wash anything, Do not sanitize stations after they're done with a customer, don't switch out or clean their tools, and they barely even wear their masks, but yell at other people to keep they're whole face covered. Also, they do not have a price list- or stick to it at least. Every time i went for a fill they tried to charge me $65. For a FILL?! I argue with the lady everytime and ask why it's so high and she never gives me an answer. They try to scam you so make sure you ask why the price is so high because often times, they are ripping you off. Very understaffed so if you go when it's not that busy you'll still probably spend 2 hours for a fill. Very disappointed and will not be returning. I SUGGEST THIS REVIEW BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY SO YOU DONT GET FUNGAL INFECTIONS!!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Worst experience EVER. The man that operates the business is beyond rude. The pedicure and manicure are mediocre at best. Go elsewhere.

I have been going to this nail salon for a few years now and I couldn't be happier! I have my nails done by Lucinda and Lucy and they are phenomenal. So kind and understanding and very professional. The other ladies there are also super nice. Tony, the owner is always so friendly and accommodating. There is never a wait if you have an appointment. My nails always come out beautiful and I get a lot of compliments. I recommend this place to all my friends and I recommend it to all the other ladies that want to have beautiful natural looking nails and impeccable pedicures!! Anna S.
